[The feed begins--and will later end--with the face of a young woman. Her expression is stern as she carefully sets her new communication watch on the nightstand. She sits on her bed, arms folded and legs crossed, holding herself with dignity and poise. The image she's trying to present is somewhat ruined by a haphazard pile of stuffed animals behind her--but she's obviously trying to make the best of an uncertain situation.]

Good evening, Hinoto-Ri. My name is Cloche Leythal Pastalia. [She pauses--just for a moment--as if there was some other part of her name that she was used to including.] Like many of you who read this network, I am a new arrival to this city--a "Registered Extraterrestrial Guest." I arrived just this afternoon, in fact.

My home is Metafalss, which floats above the Sea of Death in Ar Ciel. [She unfolds her arms, gracefully resting one hand over her heart.] If those names mean anything to you, I would truly appreciate it if you made contact with me. Even if we were strangers there, please, do not hesitate to contact me--collaboration could only beneficial to us all.

I am eager to learn more of the circumstances not just of this world, but of those that you call home. I honestly believe that, by understanding each other and working together, we can better come to understand this city and the mysteries surrounding it. [Cloche stands and retrieves her watch. She walks carefully, so as to not jar the camera.] To facilitate that mutual understanding, I would like to share some information about something that has come with me from Metafalss.

And that... [At this point, she reaches the door of her balcony which she opens, with a flourish.] Is the Infel Pira. [Cloche turns the camera to the sky. Although it is tremendously far away, the latest addition to Hinoto-Ri's skyline is visible from Cloche's bedroom window.] The Infel Pira is my Song Server, the source of Song Magic for myself and other IPD Reyvateils. The shape may seem strange to you but, I assure you, it is a benign structure. As the Maiden of Aqua, I swear that it will cause no harm to the innocent citizens of this city.

[With that said, Cloche returns the camera's view to her own face.] I can only hope that my explanation has eased any concerns you may have about it. [She closes her eyes, looking contemplative.] This evening, I know very little. [She opens them again, a determined expression on her face.] But tomorrow morning, I shall know more. Each and every day presents itself a new opportunity to learn.

To all those who have listened... thank you very much for your time. I wish you all nothing but the best. Good night.

[Cloche does not fumble with the buttons of the watch. She neatly ends the feed after her closing remarks.]

[Ah yes, that was something odd in the sky that he had seen... Though, since it hadn't felt malicious, he hadn't thought much of it.

What a fascinating discussion though. Magic that comes from emotions and is sung? It sounds like a beautiful form of magic. Orpheus, if he remembered right, strummed his harp and was able to do so. As a Persona at least. Theodore more or less skimmed, okay.]

I am Theodore, a former attendant of the Velvet Room you have not yet seen which has many purposes for those with the ability to wield a Persona. I would be happy to explain what that room is as well as its role, if you would like, so long as you tell me more about your own world. It sounds quite fascinating. Are you able to sing without summoning forth any magic, for example?

[Ah, the traditional "give and take." Cloche is pleased to have found someone who can provide such useful information.]

Good evening, Theodore. I find the terms of your proposal to be quite fair--I'm very curious to learn more about the Velvet Room.

To answer your first question, I am. Although I have not composed such a song, my dear friend Luca, a fellow Reyvateil, has composed and performed a piece called "Hartes Ciel, Melenas Walasye." It is a beautiful song, but has no magical effect.

[Theodore is always pleased with newcomers, because he loves educating others as much as he loves to satiate his own curiosity. Perhaps he'll look into something like a teaching job.]

I look forward to hearing it at some point of time in the future, if she should be willing. [And here, he guesses, but you know.] It sounds like a very pleasing piece.

The Velvet Room is a place which exists between dream and reality, mind and matter. Its purpose is to assist guests who have been chosen with all of their Persona related needs, from keeping up with them in a compendium [Allow him to retrieve his own to show. A thick, leather book. It looks pretty heavy and as if it'd make for a smashing good weapon.] to fusing them and summoning new parts of yourself from the depths of the sea of souls. The first role is given to the attendant of the guest, whom I once was, and the latter is to our master Igor. The current attendants are Caroline, who has a sweet tooth, and William, who I haven't met yet.

[just so you know.]

Perhaps you shall. [A small smile crosses her face.] I have high hopes that she will continue to sing here.

[Cloche listens attentively to Theodore's explanation. A place that is neither here no there, that plays a large part in the personal growth of those who visit... it's no wonder that Minako thought of it while they were discussing Cosmospheres.]

What a poetic way of explaining it. [And, for the record, that Compendium is pretty impressive! It looks like just the kind of book that Jacqli would want to get her hands on.] Your experience as a former attendant has given you a unique perspective on its services. Once I awaken to the power, I can only hope to be invited as a guest.

Be assured, your unique powers would be a most welcome help. Naturally, and somewhat startling for many people for whatever reason, they only thing we-- they ask for in return is that you accept all responsibility for your future actions, good and bad.

Personal responsibility... I see. [It seems almost- deceptively simple. What kind of person doesn't accept responsibility for their actions?] What a curious contract.

Only to ensure that you follow through to the end, of course. There are no consequences with running away, but most who continue despite what their actions have brought change much - both within themselves as well as those around them.

No consequences? Your Master is a very lenient man. [A contract, just by itself, is a very serious obligation--that should have very serious consequences if someone chooses to renege on it!] I can see why Minako likened it to a Cosmosphere.

[The consequences come with the circumstances, really, run away from your responsibility as a guest and you lose the chance to save the world versus allowing it to die slowly within its own apathy, ignorance, god, or whatever the case may be. There's just simply no general consequence.]

Leniency is not a word I would liken to my master, though I suppose the situation could be referred to as such. It is all within the guests' power to control their destiny, after all, and we as residents cannot interfere with their journey - only aid it. [Lucky kids. Wait, he can do that too now.] You are able to create things, such as your song magic, within that area, correct?

Ah! I see. If the Velvet Room is akin to a Cosmosphere--your Master and his assistants are like Mind Guardians, who exist within a Cosmosphere to guide, but not direct, a Diver's journey through it. [This comparison is just getting more and more interesting...] That is correct. When I create Song Magic within my Cosmosphere, I can sing it in reality after the Dive.
