Are any of you familiar with Carl Jung? If not, then I suggest you do.

But that is not my reason to come to you today. Rather it is to, perhaps, open your eyes should you chose to do so.

What makes good, good and evil, evil? Should both be simply placed as one or the other? If the 'evil' become the ruling force, would the rules be reversed? If someone steps up to remove a tyrant, are they doing good, or, in the eyes of others, are they being the ones who are evil?

...Or are we what makes these forces exist in the first place? Can good be really called good if there is no evil to defeat, no goal for them to attain?

You were all called here for a reason, but should you believe one side...or the other about what is the truth? As we become more enlightened, we tend to forget what came before. And as history has a tendency to repeat itself...

A man looks above to the nearby mountain. He knows not how it was made, and therefore decides that a god put it there. Is this man false? Scientifically, perhaps, we know that mountains are produced by the movement of lithospheric plates. Yet when we knew nothing of this, we saw the truth in a god. And so, this idea is born and now exists. Man gave it power, and the ability to create the mountain is now that god's.

Personas are reflections of a character's inner self, yet they are the gods, demons and powerful creatures of our worlds.

So then...can a man become a god...or was he always one?

That is an interesting response. Yet why would God exist? Is It here because we believe that It is?

The "point" is what you want to make it to be.

I'm sorry you had to deal with such a harsh god. I guess if he was a tyrant, he interfered a lot in human affairs, didn't he? Gods aren't supposed to do that.

[Wow, that's... kind of dense subject matter right off the bat! She doesn't know Jung (or lithosphere plates, to be honest), but one part of the message makes her want to reply.]

Um. I'm not an expert but... good is good, right? Helping people, caring for each other... even if no one in the world was "bad," then people would just have other goals. [Sure, organizations could claim to be good while doing bad things- or do bad things "for the greater good," but there were inherently kind acts, right?] I mean- Defeating evil, "beating up bad guys," it sounds a lot like a goal a kid would have.

Same with "wanting to be a god," really...

But- I guess that really depends what you mean by "god." Since, some of these comments treat gods as really different from the Goddess...

"He has a nightmarish scheme in place to wipe out humanity and make the survivors give up free will to absolute obedience to Him. In my world, His scheme is already far into motion."

I don't really understand how the second part of your message relates to the first, or how either of them relate to 20th Century AD psychiatry.

You seem to speak from experience. Either forced blindly or by your own will, intent is indeed a large part of what drives us forward.

Yet at times the needs of the many will outweigh the needs of a few. Would you sacrifice a friend's life, or would you attempt the impossible, knowing you risk dooming the entire world as well?

And you are speaking of the thought experiment of Schrodinger's cat. Philosophy and theory are interesting things, but practicality is needed to balance them.

Man, I hear ya. I just went up against a corrupt god, myself. He pretty much destroyed two of my most powerful weapons, and if he hadn't ticked off another goddess, I would have been toast!

I wish I could offer you help, but I doubt there's a way to go to somebody else's world.

Humanity is dead for now and I won't let This Asshole and His nightmarish "game" get away with remaking the world so that humans have their free will pulled away by design and be forced to obey His every command just because He's butthurt that not everyone believes in Him!"

You are on the right path.

Does a Tyrant or a God think of themselves as evil?

Perhaps the egotistical ones or those that derive pleasure for it. Yet it is only when others rise up against them, that the true concept of "good" and "evil", "hero" and "villain" is born...and that too, depends on who is writing down the story.

Morals, beliefs, sides, good and evil... all of them are subjective to each individual~ That's how I've always seen it and that's how I've always behaved for as long as I've existed.

One day I could have been Championing Demacia, while the next I could be Championing Noxus. I suppose each person decides what comes closer to their own personal beliefs and joins that crusade in opposition of the contrary~

That depends on who is involved - there are many men, who, I am certain, would try to become God.

Therein lies the dilemma. If the Idea of God was born by Free Will, then why does this God seek to destroy it?

Perhaps I am.

[Okay no, he is.

Also ouch. Riku is well aware of the importance of the bigger picture and still... there is really only one way to answer that.]

I will follow the path I've chosen and protect the things that matter.

[And that's really all that needs to be said.]

You could keep 'heroes' or 'villains' from ever even happening if you make sure there aren't any stories getting written down.

[Takes out the subjectivity of it, makes it all more orderly. ..That's sounding even more familiar.]
