All wars both ruin and save lives. The question is what lives have value, and where and when does the war end?

...everyone needs a chance to live out their life the way they decide to. No one else has the right to take that away, whether by killing them or... something else.

The master of mankind, the one that saved us from destruction at our own hands. A scientist, a psychic, and a warlord of heroic stature and skill. Some worship him as a god, though I find this extremely distasteful.

No doubt. I have faith he is up to it though my gene-father disagreed.

[Rune just fell quiet, the conversation bringing up a lot of bad memories. She just dealt with this; she didn't need more reminders of it to test her resolve. After a moment she reached up, rubbing at an eye.]
