This goes to both sides, really. I suppose it is easier for most to see in black and white rather than in shades of gray.

Back home we had the saying "don't bite the hand that feeds you", too, and that sounds like an abusive relationship to me.

I prefer to see in black and white, it makes things easier. When you start to see things in grey it becomes a pain in the neck to turn a blind eye to the things you and your loved ones do wrong.
