[Aggie looks - pretty close to upset when she shows up on the feed. There's some hints that she has been crying (puffy and reddened eyelids, etc.) and she's really struggling not to resume crying.
When she speaks, of course, the reason for this becomes painfully clear.]
I...I am aware that my uncle Jack was - b-better at socializing than I am, so...he's probably got more than a few friends who s-should be told this.
[She swallows and tries to continue, but her voice is shaking all over the place.]
... All evidence points to Uncle having been returned home. I am very sorry.
E-excuse me.
[She turns off the feed in order to get the next fit of tears out before anyone replies. Old habits die hard, after all...]

[Audio]
I don't know him...but regardless, sorry for your loss.
[Audio]
[Her voice sounds a bit nasally right now. Not a surprise.]
[Audio] APOLOGIES FOR LATENESS...
[...More importantly, considering he'd been hijacked, he never really heard from her since the Shadow incident...]
...How are you holding up?
IT'S COOL MAN I AM THE MASTER OF SLACKTAGGING HERE
That moment of thought calms her down, and when she speaks next, she sounds a little calmer.]
I- am not sure. Uncle Jack is almost like a true parent to me, and I know that going home is not the same as dying, but...I had gotten used to him being here. However, not being alone, the fact that people are concerned...helps.
Is that strange?
[Text]
Do you want me to come over?
[Audio]
I...d-don't...h-he lived in the same building as everyone else anyway...it's...
[Yeah, did we mention that Aggie isn't in the same apartment building as basically everyone else she knows? Because she isn't. This is a double-problem.]
...I'm s-sorry, but if it isn't t-too much trouble...please?...
no subject
[Being a geta ninja is helpful, okay?]
no subject
Even so, she tries to at least not to be crying when she answers the door. ... Ignore the puffy red eyes please. There are no tear streaks.]
T-thank you for coming over...
no subject
Here.
no subject
[Wehhhh. She's going to - to try, mostly, to stay calm. ... Easier said than done.]
Thank you...
no subject
It'll be all right.
no subject
[Jack was kind of her favorite relative from when she was bitty onward okay.]
no subject
no subject
[Weh.]
Even so it - it's okay? Normal, that is...
no subject
[For all his snark, he's been a parent plenty of times.]
no subject
But basically everything's gone to hell, so there's just a weak nod of assent instead of flailing and attempts to keep "dignified" or whatever.]
no subject
no subject
T-thank you, again, for coming over...I did not interrupt anything important, did I?
no subject

... People here don't all approve of us visitors, correct? Then...that's probably a good idea. If things go south and the Visitor network is secure, then we will not need to risk using the public network and potentially endangering ourselves.
- um, that's how it seems, anyway. I-is that anywhere near a correct assumption?
[Weeeeh.]
no subject
[Not that he doesn't want to fix that...]
no subject
[She has read/watched the news and basically osmosed some computer knowledge, okay. It can't not happen.]
no subject
no subject
[This is the tone of someone who's heard that song and dance before. Mostly on the news and around school. Disgruntled teachers and all that.]
no subject

[... She almost ended that with 'sir' again, but managed to stop herself at the last minute. Small steps, Aggie!]

[Action]
KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK.]
[Action]
Aggie tries to compose herself a bit before opening the door...and it's Midori. Erp. She tries to just - wave and be casual.
Not working. But the effort counts, right?!] ... Um, hello, Midori.
[Action]
[At least she asked for this one.]
[Action]
There's a pause before she manages:] I-if it's okay...
[Action]
It'll be okay... Don't worry. It's gonna be okay.
[Action]
...Thank you, Midori. When you say it, it sounds true.
[Not just Midori, either - people that care in general. Even Desco, as nutty and immature as she is.
But Midori means the most.]
I... I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure he's happier back home, but is there anything that I can do for you?
[voice]
I - am all right - thank you. [Deeeeeep breaths, Aggie.] It - it is not as if anything life-threatening has happened...Uncle has been awfully lucky about these things before, anyway...
[Gulp.]
How...are you adjusting to Hinoto-Ri?...
[voice]
I'm adjusting pretty well. I've met a lot of wonderful people here and the people from back home are helpful too.
[voice]
(Though that one ended with Desco being Desco, so who knows how effective it was.)]
...yes, that...that is so. I - it is good to know that there are people here who are willing and able to help.
[action]
...oh wait there's a wall in the way. NO MATTER. DESCO WILL SUMMON HER NEW PERSONA.
The end result of this series of bad decisions: Desco is riding a gigantic wave of sludge studded with screaming faces directly through Aggie's wall, courtesy of the Pass Through spell.
[action]
Agatha takes one look at this godawful thing, screams, and runs to hide behind the nearest anything.
no subject
Desco doesn't understaaaaaand.
no subject
That is genuine horror and disbelief in her voice. ... Uh. Success?
no subject
DRAMATIC PAUSE
"THE SMOOZE!"
Desco grins, showing off her fangs.
"Desco got it from the Velvet Room!"
no subject
Not if it hands out things like that.
no subject
Aggie might not be able to properly appreciate that, however, giving how Desco is clinging to her like the world's most co-dependent octopus.
"Aggie! Desco is here for you in your time of need! CRY OUT YOUR SADNESS IN DESCO'S MODESTLY BUDDING CHEST."
no subject
"...I believe I have already cried a lot, Desco. Also, your...interesting entrance shocked me out of it. But thank you, just the same."
no subject
no subject
She can't help smiling at this. Gosh, Desco. Stop being adorable.
