Life Begins Anew

It's overcast today, but it's actually above freezing! Which means of course that Shura has shed her hoodie. The image of the camera shows her from the waist up wearing only a black and blue sports bra.

"Hey Hinoto-Ri! Good news! The doctors are okay with me taking up running again! Bad news! I need a running partner in case my knees give up on me during the run. Anybody willing? I run at dawn around Pisces. You gotta feel safe around demons because I have a demon fan club that likes to cheer me on. Reply if you're interested!"

A minute or so after the message goes out, Sarah peers inside the room, leaning on the doorframe.

"I have it on good authority that demons like me, you know."

Her tone and expression are both quietly amused.

Shura smiled at her and chuckled softly. "They do. I just don't want to become a burden for you."

"Ah, no worries there. Let's see..."

Thinking about things now.

"...well, I don't think I could manage it every day, honestly, so this was a good idea."

She nodded. "Yeah, I don't blame you. You know me, I'm a little excessive when it comes to my running."

"Say, about that fight in the coliseum..."

Sarah doesn't quite know how to broach this topic.

"Badass, uh?" She grinned even wider, flexing her biceps.

"Yeah, that too."

...eh, go for broke; the blunt approach has always worked before.

"That big green thing...was that a message? Do I need to go on a shopping trip in Taurus?"

The blunt approach is definitely the best one to take with Shura, as a matter of fact. Even if it causes her to look at you with huge eyes.

"Uuuh... no? I mean, I'd be happy if you went but Mara is not... not directed at you or anything..." She suddenly giggled from the silliness of the situation.

Sarah slumps a little as she lets out a sigh of relief.

"Praise the moon, that's a load off my shoulders."

Shura outright laughed then. "What did you think it meant?"

Sarah's expression is very prim.

"There are some fetishes you only need sprung on you once without warning, thank you very much."

And then she breaks down into laughter herself.

Shura laughed even more. One gotta admit that a giant green penis of a war chariot as a Persona could weird people out.

"I picked him for the dick jokes, really."

Deadpan.

"I could see how it would be hard to tell those kinds of jokes without piercing through the initial barrier, yes."

Shura dissolved into giggles. Yes, Lucifer's Grand General was a sucker for dick jokes.

Sarah chuckles a little herself.

"Felt like I was forcing things there, but it got through in the end, huh."

"A demon fan club?"

"Yeah. A lot of Jack Frosts and Pyro Jacks like to run with me and cheer me on when I run by. It's cool."

Running? Sure! I just I'm not sure about the demons, but I try to run everyday.

"Nice! The demons are not anyone bad. Mostly Jack Frosts and Pyro Jacks. I should warn you though, my runs are pretty intense."

"I'm sure I could keep up," she said with a grin. Considering Apollo and Phoenix no longer 'jog' with her anymore because they're wimps.

You might be exactly what Shura is looking for! Before the world ended she was a regional tracks champion in Tokyo. "Great then! We can do a test run tomorrow morning. 6 am in front of the Pisces apartment building? We can warm up there and get going."

"Sounds good to me!" she responded with a peace sign and a grin, "I'll see you there!"

[a short nod]

Who are you why are you not speaking. "Uh, hi? You wanna try running too?"

Yaaa...

[Well, it's a little better, anyway.]

"Okay." Are you a demon? You seem a little non-human. "How about the day after tomorrow? 6 am, Pisces apartment building. We can get warmed up then we'll go from there."

[A pause, and then another nod. Sorry, she'd love to talk if she could. But just a moment as she turns to type stuff instead.]

BOY IS SHURA RED NOW. Way to be grossly rude to a potential training partner, Shura.

"That's... I'm sorry. Really really sorry." Much bowing ensues.

[She keeps the video up to show her face, even though the expression doesn't change.]

Shura finally straightens up to look at the screen properly again.

"Okay. We can still go for a run, right?"

"That's not really a problem. We can just run together in silence. We don't have to talk if you don't want to."

"All right! See you the day after tomorrow at 6 am!"

[She nods before shutting off the feed.]
