[The face on the screen might be familiar to some, but maybe not so familiar to others- Sam Erstwhile isn't exactly the most outgoing person in the world, after all. He's just sitting back in a chair, clothes as bedraggled as ever, and in the background, one can see the blurry shape of...well, Desco.. Hard to believe he's be living in the same house as her, really.]

Uh...hey. Long time, no see. I-I'm still not really used to going out and making public posts like this for the network, heh...

[He drifts of a little awkwardly, before he scratches the back of his head.] Oh, um, anyways, I was just a little curious. You know fairy tales, right? Like, Little Red Riding Hood, or Cinderella, or The Firebird...if you don't have those in your world, well, they're short stories that are told to kids about things like dragons, princesses, magic, and whatnot. Some of them are even told with morals in the story, so people could learn what to do and what not to do just by listening to the story. For example, one of my favorite ones is Hansel and Gretel...two children go into the woods and find a house made of candy. The witch inside wants to eat them, but instead, the brother and sister find a way to destroy the witch before she does so...

[There's a pause here, and his expression sombers somewhat before he speaks again.]

So, I was just wondering. What kind of stories do you have back home...? Everyone comes from different worlds, so, I thought it would be nice to hear what kinds of fairytales and folklore people grew up with. What are your favorite stories, people of Hinoto Ri?

[He lets out a slight huff, looking somewhat pleased with himself. In the meantime, he'll just find all those books about him and Phantom Girl's Valentine Day exploits and will be trying to destroy them by throwing them all in the river, thank you very much.]

"Desco's Daddy used to read her the Evil Overlord List!"

[He looks over at her, raising an eyebrow.]

What in the world is the Evil Overlord List?

[tyrantball]

"It's a list of all the death flags that a competent Final Boss should avoid raising! One of Desco's neighbors at her old apartment even printed out a copy for her when she first arrived here!"

...That isn't a fairytale, it's a literal list on what not to do when you're being, well, an evil overlord.

[A shake of the head.] Your dad never read any stories to you besides that?

[tyrantball]

Thinking.

"Umm...sometimes Daddy would tell Desco all about Big Sis?"

From her expression, it's pretty clear she really enjoyed hearing about Big Sis.

[He sighs.]

And what sort of stories were those? All about her exploits, I'm guessing?

"One time Daddy got lost at a festival, and Big Sis managed to walk all the way home by herself!"

THAT IS WHY BIG SIS IS THE COOLEST

[A slight huff- that amuses him a bit.]

"Um, um, before Mommy went to Celestia Big Sis asked her and Daddy for a little sister with advanced functionality to help her take over the world, and that's how Desco was born!"

Desco is just so happy.

...Well, at least she got what she wanted, didn't she?

[Hey, it's the best "this is how you were born" story he's ever heard, it could be much worse.]

"Uh-huh! Desco defeated Earth-X and became Queen of the whoooole world!"

And what does the Queen of the whole world even do? You don't make laws and stuff, right?

"Well, Desco came back here after that, but Big Sis was planning on bringing Celestia and every other Netherworld under her control!"

...How many Netherworlds are there? Why is there even a need for more than one Netherworld, anyways?

I did have fairy-stories back in my home world. I haven't heard of any you've mentioned, though.

[Seeing they mostly contained anti-demon propaganda, and pro-Mikado+angel writings.] Most of them have been destroyed now, though.

Really? Well, guess you don't come from Earth...

[And he looks very concerned at that last part. Books? Destroyed?]

Huh? H-how come?

'Literature' being distributed around the kingdom began to harm the people severely. [That's as nice as he can put it.]

Oh. Like...banned books, right?

[His face falls. To think, that people would go so far to erase those words...]

What harm did they give? Those books, I mean.

Really? Well, I guess fairytales are similar to matter where you go...it's kind of interesting, isn't it? That different places can hold so many similar things...

Hmm.... That's hard to say for sure. I really liked Little Red Riding Hood.

Oh! I like Little Red Riding Hood, too! [He says, his face lighting up with enthusiasm that would probably only be seen on the face of a child.] That's one of my favorites...which ending is your favorite? Like, because some endings are different, where the wolf gets defeated or eats Little Red Riding Hood up...
