I'm looking for volunteers to join me on an expedition to investigate the ruins in the Gemini district. It's likely to be dangerous, so I'd prefer people with some combat experience. But the trapezohedron was found in that ruin, so I think it'll be worth the trip. Let me know if you're interested.


[She's about to go back to adjusting one of her dingbots when she remembers one other thing.]


And on a side note, the people I gave those experimental weapons to still haven't reported back. Did they work well enough? Did you experience any difficulties?

"Yes. Though, I'm honestly more sure of aerial bombardment than finding strings."

Unfortunately this is more to gather information, so I don't think we'll get the chance to bombard anything.

Heh. Setting aside the fact that we could probably do better than canned coffee...

... what I'm really looking for here is clues to the origin and intended function of the trapezohedron. Which unfortunately means we have to be careful with our surroundings as we fight the inevitable demon hordes.

"The ones I dealt with did. Or maybe it was the can. I've considered trying to set up a vending machine in exchange for demon goods, but I really don't know enough on how to make them not destroy the machine."

Hmm, it's definitely worth looking into. But I think that might be a project for another time.

"True, its probably best to focus on one issue at a time."

Right. And since they won't let me do proper tests on the trapezohedron itself, this is the next best way to get information about it.

Normally I'd say 'of course they are.' What scientist could resist? But Kandori strikes me as.....

"Kandori strikes me as greedy for something and information is not it. Like the researchers at the institute I was raised in. Still, I am the one who rebuilt the data network and they're not using my backbone anymore, but I do know how it is designed to some degree. Shame really, data theft is more interesting than a lot of tedious chores I've had here."
