[Hello, citizens, you're now watching a recording of a curtain of silver hair and the sounds of someone poking and tapping at the communicator. There is an huff of breath, and then the camera is flipped over, revealing a woman with silver dog ears and red markings over her skin. She tilts her head curiously before smiling for the camera-- benevolently, radiantly, and somehow tinged with sadness. Then typing starts, slow and careful.]

HOW MANY PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE IN THE GODS? WHAT SORT OF GOD DO YOU BELIEVE IN, IF YOU DO?

I believe that the universe has a will, that people recognize in different ways. I see it as the Force, the connection of all living things, which speaks to those who listen and listens to those who speak. I see nothing wrong with more primitive beliefs that regard it as one or a myriad of gods, though. It's simply a different point of view.
echo_of_a_jedi: (way too much moral ambiguity here)

That was...probably rude, sorry. I come from a galaxy where most of the civilizations have the same basic view of things, so I'm not used to talking to people with a theistic outlook.

Hm. I did think this place was pretty advanced for not having hyperspace capability, myself.

I don't think I'm from the far future, although I guess I could be. I think I might be from another galaxy entirely.

But yes, there's plenty of nature left. Some planets are all cities, but some are almost pristine garden worlds, and a lot more are somewhere in between.
