video and text

[Hello, citizens, you're now watching a recording of a curtain of silver hair and the sounds of someone poking and tapping at the communicator. There is an huff of breath, and then the camera is flipped over, revealing a woman with silver dog ears and red markings over her skin. She tilts her head curiously before smiling for the camera-- benevolently, radiantly, and somehow tinged with sadness. Then typing starts, slow and careful.]

HOW MANY PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE IN THE GODS? WHAT SORT OF GOD DO YOU BELIEVE IN, IF YOU DO?

I do not question that; fickleness of the soul began with us, after all.

[She pauses in text for a moment.]

My children, of course... as well as others far too numerous to count.

[But does that include her? Why, who knows...]

I believe they exist.

[However, that's about as much as he can say positively about them.]

Gods? From a polytheistic view, or in regards to the many religions of the world? I know my computer was named after one of the Japanese Kami but I have very little actual data on them. It wasn't important information at the institute and I was manning the bridge during the funerals on the first Nadesico.

I know enough people believe in them in my world to start wars over them, but that doesn't seem to be in the spirit of things.

I believe that the universe has a will, that people recognize in different ways. I see it as the Force, the connection of all living things, which speaks to those who listen and listens to those who speak. I see nothing wrong with more primitive beliefs that regard it as one or a myriad of gods, though. It's simply a different point of view.

Gods are not a belief; they're a fact.

Faith, on the other hand...*Someone sounds bitter.*

It's Rune. Rune Calstead.

And believe me, this city is pretty tame.

[...oh.]

[...well then. Yu actually doesn't know what to say for a moment. Because, seriously, what do you say when you find out you've been texting a goddess of the sun and universe? ...definitely not the same thing you do when you find out a death goddess put gas in your uncle's car before giving you a head god.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, then.

....Huh?

[Well. If Amaterasu is a summon-able demon in his world, it stands to reason she exists elsewhere as well. Atsuro blinks for a few moments before making a less than graceful recovery.]

Oh. Nice to, uh... see you again. ...You're more colorful than I remember.

{ Garnet blinks slowly, admiring, for a moment, Amaterasu's beauty. She has never met someone with hair that silver, dog ears and those markings.

Shaking her head, she clears her throat. }

Why do you ask?
