[A certain minty-haired Visitor is on the screen today, his arm around the shoulders of a brown haired kid who may be familiar to some. Judging by the voices in the background, there’s about four people in all, even if they aren’t all visible on the camera yet.]

Hey! Lately, people have been coming by the Detective Agency thinking it’s functional again. At first we turned down requests since we’re obviously not detectives, but...

[Ayumu is pretty much resigned at this point, though his expression clearly seems to have some doubts about the wisdom of this idea. They were a bunch of kids and a tanuki, after all. Who’d go looking to them for help?]

[There’s some yelling from off-screen.]

[Ayumu’s response is muttered.]

[While they keep bickering amongst themselves, a certain assistant waltzes up to the feed and waves in that wonderfully cutesy fashion of hers. Yup, it’s Hiyono, alright.]

Ahem--what they’re trying to say is, we’re now open for business! I’ve even set up an inbox for you to send all of your requests to~

Right, right. And you were going to spread rumors too, weren’t you, Hiyono?

Mm-hmm! [The agreement is punctuated with her ever present smile -- and wait, is she proverbially sparkling as she does?] To be honest, I haven’t really worked with rumors that come true, but I guess there’s a first for everything, right?

[The look on the brown haired teen’s face is just a little wary. Ayumu could only imagine how much she was going to enjoy that….]

Well, you heard them. We’ll take on jobs if you have them in our spare time.

[There’s suddenly a tanuki squeezing his face into this shot. Except he’s in human form but whatever.]

Just try to make them interesting ones!

"So where did that 'male succubus' stuff or whatever come from anyway?"

"Some girl with a lot of tentacles coming out of her back."

"I-I know that, but uh. Why would she even think that in the first place?"

"You think I know? This is Desco we're talking about. It's probably some random idea she got into her head and decided is absolute fact."

"She's really less cute and more... insane. ...Anyway. So will the rumors and things actually work with you guys in charge?"

"It's worked before, hasn't it? The only difference is the people working to spread it.

I don't know Hiyono very well personally, but according to Ayumu, she's probably the best person to turn to for something like this. Of course, if it's something interesting, I'll do what I can to help out too!"

As usual, he's sticking to doing whatever seems most amusing at the time.

"Maybe it's the people who were magic."

Atsuro gives a shrug.

"What kinds of things are we hoping to get out of this, though? All I remember last time were things about the dumb book series."

"All the things you could ever imagine! Luck, wealth, prestige, the answers to the exams--

--Kidding. We'd probably have to decline those types of requests. But I mean, if there's something you'd like to find in this city that doesn't already exist, theoretically we could bring it here by spreading rumors that it does, right?"

Atsuro thinks about this for a moment.

"Hey Hizumi.

I hear that girls who love playing video games and really like geeky guys have been appearing lately in the Sagittarius District. Weird, right? Pass it on."

[bondsofsuffering]

"And they especially like people who are great at rhythm games, right? I did hear something about that!"

[otakuro]

"But more than anything else, they like hats."

[bondsofsuffering]

"Sure, why not?

That will be 5000 yen upfront, please."

Five thousand?! What kind of racket are you running here?! All you have to do is spread a rumor.

A rumor that will change reality itself. It's tricky business! Plus, we're using up our own valuable time to do this. We gotta eat too, you know. 5000 yen is a steal!

Hey, Hizumi, pass it on - I hear the people running the Rumor business are totally generous and take rumors for free or IOUs.

We're not that generous. [Not even Ayumu.]

You know what, it's not like the rumors are isolated to your building or something. I'll learn to spread my own rumors around.

Go ahead. [Nevermind the fact that Ayumu's already been doing investigative work for... free....

But they did have school and real jobs to eat up their time, too.]
