[The camera is slightly obscured - it's clearly Minako, but the watch's camera isn't being held at the proper angle to show her entire face. She's smiling, though.]
Hello, Hinoto-ri! I don't want to take up too much of your time, because I know a lot of people are busy right now, but I have a story to tell, if you're willing to listen!
Once upon a time, a girl grew up all alone. One by one, the people she cared about disappeared from her life. The girl kept smiling and trying to make friends, but deep down, she knew the truth. Eventually, those friends would leave her too. Her destiny was to be left behind.
Then one day, the girl was given a choice. Disappear quietly along with the world and the people you care about, or give up everything to save them - including her soul. Her sacrifice meant the world would live, but she would still be alone. Forever.
[She pauses, the cheerful smile still on her lips.]
Which choice do you think the girl made?
[and then she leans forward, finally opening her eyes to reveal bright, yellow irises.]
Which choice should I have made?

[Okay how the hell does he even begin to explain this, especially since he can't access the network right now...]
..that is you. [That won't make much sense so he quickly adds;] Well, a part of you. [NAILED IT.]
[Action]
His expression thins as he weighs the idea of going to look for her—if it would really be that good of an idea—when Eikichi speaks up again and he turns to glance at him sharply.]
What?
[Action]
What do you mean?
[Action]
You should know about this part! [He coughs.] Y'know. Shadows and stuff.
[Action]
We fought the damn things before, but they never looked all that human. Not like that. Not like any of us.
[Though he guesses with Ryoji's existence, it's not like they couldn't, now he thinks of it. ...But he was a technicality. The exception, not the rule, as far as Shinjiro saw it.]
Though one person who worked with us [not going to bother saying his damn name] guessed that at least some of the [he pauses] Irregular Shadows that appeared outside of Tartarus came from other people.
[But he hadn't been about what to believe then. It was all theories, no proof. Not like Tartarus would make any damn sense to Eikichi anyway, but there's no helping that.]
You saying it's one of those?
[Action]
[Minako is putting things together now, with what Shinjiro says and what Eikichi had just said.] I think he means like what Souji-kun's team and Labrys-chan faced... A Shadow of themselves.
[She doesn't know very much about the circumstances. They'd never gone into much detail - but she does know that their Personas had awakened very differently than hers and the other members of SEES.]
But I thought those Shadows appeared before you had a Persona. That's what I heard, at least... and defeating one would allow you to use a Persona yourself.
[Action]
Nah, when we had to face out shadows, they were guardian skulls in temples. It's a part of you that broke off, created by the rumors from the town and the parts you don't like or are too stupid to realize...I fought mine and he also had Hades...
no subject
[They never had to deal with them. Not that Shinjiro can ever remember, anyway.
They might not even be technically the same thing here. But Eikichi's... explanation made sense, given how the Minako on the network had acted. Those were things that the Minako he's used to wouldn't ever say, regardless of whether or not they were true.]
Tch. Well, whatever they are, how dangerous are they supposed to be?
1/2
[Which is pretty frightening.]
However, unless this place changed the rules for some reason, they can only use one Persona. [He also made a note to talk with Souji more.]
no subject
[Just thinking back to that conversation is making him angry again.]
no subject
[She's not sure she wants to know, though...]
[Action]
But Minako'd probably see what her supposed Shadow said for herself eventually. So he settles with something honest, if lacking in specific details.]
Things you don't bring up.
[Action]
[Not cause she wouldn't say that, but because it hit really close to home...and sometimes he wonders if he too would--]
You'll see it for yourself when you meet her. She'll try to disbalance you with it. As long as you remember she's also you and you kick her ass, it shouldn't be a problem.
[Then again...]
Of course, I could be wrong 'bout this and all...but it reminds me too much of what happened last time. [They didn't have fancy communications systems in 1999, however.]
[Action]
Well, let's find her, then. Did she say anything about where she was?
[Action]
[He could bring up the video again and see if anything looked familiar. Try to pinpoint where she had been when he had talked to her. If Eikichi knew, he assumes that he'd already be there. But the watch's camera doesn't really give a lot of detail when you're using it to talk into. He supposes he could try to call her again, but he has no idea if she wants to be found or not, or if it'd be a good idea to ask.]
Outside, maybe. Might be better to ask yourself where you'd go, if you were going to wait somewhere.
[Action]
[If it's anything like his own, which appears to be doubtful at least as much as that is concerned.]
And I still can't log online to run a search or something...
[Action]
Maybe... the shrine?
[But then she's distracted by Eikichi.]
...Wait a minute, Eikichi-kun... if I can't use my COMP because she's using it, why can't you use yours?
[Because if it's the reason she's thinking-]
[Action]
Awww ffffuck.
[He's not one to swear, but now he's just pissed off.]
I have to face him again?!
[Action]
Still might not even be the same thing.
But guess the shrine's as good of place as any to look.
[Last thing he'd want to do is have to fight there, though, if they ended up having to. Places from back home, however, do seem like the most logical place to start.]
[Action]
[She gives a side glance at Shinji now.] You can still use your COMP, right?
Re: [Action]
Looks like it.
[Action]
[You know, when Eikichi is angry, he sounds surprisingly dangerous.]
[Action]
[Minako doesn't seem too unnerved by the whole concept. She hasn't yet seen what her Shadow is saying, after all... But if it's a part of her, it's nothing she won't be able to handle, right?]
Let's get going and find them before there's too much more trouble.
