[No greetings, no introductions... Fumi's just getting right down to business.  It's not often she bothers broadcasting things over the network herself, after all.  Leaning back in her office chair briefly, she folds her arms before addressing the feed.]

For those of you who were acquainted with her, Miyako Hotsuin is no longer in the city.

[Her voice is flat and her face its usual deadpan expression as she says this.]

As this leaves me as the only official member of the JP's branch office, I will be assuming control of the newly renamed JP's Hinoto-Ri Branch.  It's been here long enough that continuing to call it the Nagoya branch seems a bit silly, and I'm relatively sure Miyako had been preparing for an official name change anyway.

[But wait, there's more.]

Additionally, following the departure of Kandori, Takeba, and Kirijo, and in view of the fact that I worked with each of them personally before the recent attack, I will also be taking over administration of the MAGI facility following the cleanup and reconstruction effort.

[No questions, no voting, she's just doing it, apparently.]

However, as there were three branches of the MAGI facility itself without even considering the resources required for the upkeep of the JP's location, I will be conducting interviews for the additional staff and personnel needed to keep things running smoothly.  For my own part, I will be acting in Takeba's capacity as the new head of the MAGI Research Branch.

At minimum, I will also require colleagues to take over Kandori and Kirijo's work as the respective heads of the Weapon and Development Branches.  Please contact me via secured network communication to apply for any of these positions or as support staff for either MAGI or JP's.  You may contact me in the same fashion if you have any questions about what the positions will entail.

...That is all.

I realize this seems to be a case of 'somebody's gotta do it', but. ...Well. Does someone have to do it?

I met with the 'Wise Men' before, too, but the projects they were working on were Top Secret in capital letters. How much do you know about what they were doing in terms of R&D and weaponry? It seems like it might be a better idea to just keep the ship running until they get back. Since Brainstorm's gone, too, you have enough to deal with with the network and JPs, right?

[Translation: Are we sure we want Fumi and Agatha Heterodyne creating weapons of mass destruction]

...I wouldn't worry too much. I'm pretty sure we'll mysteriously discover a signal from a different world once every three months or so. Probably conveniently spaced on the off months between Zodiac monsters.

[Atsuro knows how this works please]

Just to be frank, what I mean is that I'm pretty sure the Wise Men had projects we wouldn't even be able to guess at. And I'm not sure diverting resources to make what we think they wanted is the best idea. Probably when the Mayor has recovered, you should get together and see what the City wanted out of all this.

Oh good, you have enough self awareness that I don't have to actually say it myself. I'm not totally sure the other girl does.

As long as the job description doesn't have 'guinea pig' under it, I don't mind helping out. Fixing computers at college is probably lower priority right now.

Y-You can't just offer something like that to the first person who responds! Have you met me? I'd spend all our money making simulators and VR training rooms for demon fighting and Persona battling.

...

OK, actually, that sounds pretty amazing and I desperately need that in my life now

-- See? I'm completely irresponsible.

We're going to destroy the city.

This is it. The end of Hinoto-Ri comes not with demon invasions but with money poured into sinkholes by three completely irresponsible people.

Bad Ending #3 unlocked. ...At least it will be a cool ending.

[pause]

OK, but if anyone else thinks they can do a better job, they're taking over immediately, OK? I'm just going to be here to fill the gap because no one else wants it.

As long as we don't get any more virus demons running around, I think I'm good.

...No, forget that, first thing we're doing is securing all our important data because the network goes down every other month and then we get stupid creepy messages from all the bad guys in Hinoto-Ri and the demons and the Zodiac monsters and their moms and we're all sick of that by now and no one wants my programs doing the same thing.

...Naoya taught me everything I know, so he'd probably use the same tricks. And the ones he never taught me. But I'll check in to see what he's up to.

I was talking more about securing the M.A.G.I. databanks, though.

...Of course, to properly secure them, I have to try and figure out what I'm securing first.

Uh. ...Different kinds of data need different kinds of protection.

I-It's for a greater cause! I think they call those 'unfortunate necessities' in the corporate world or something.

[The cause of greatest curiosity.]

...

I think, on paper, at least, we should pretend to be responsible human beings. That's how a good corporation works.

Basically, if we can find out what they're working on and if we can actually continue along the same lines, we'd be doing the jobs we're supposed to, anyway.

If they're not around, we've got to step up to the plate, whether or not they'd want us to.

I think the really important question is...

Do these jobs come with really awesome places to live?

...If they come back and find us living in their penthouses, we could say we were keeping it clean for their return.
