Just reminding you to get your Halloween costumes before the stores are out of all the good ones and you have to be a ghost with a sheet over your head! Not that it's bad to be a spooky ghost, but you can be so much more interesting.

If you don't have Halloween in your world, I'll explain what it is if you want!

Desco throws up her arms at this, crossing her hands at the wrists to form an 'X'.

"No! Something with a name like 'Grunty' can't be anything other than a fodder character, and Desco refuses to let her girlfriend dress up like a fodder character!"

Desco peers at the sketch.

"...ohhh, it's a cute mascot character! Why didn't you say so?"

Slight pause.

"Desco will have to consider."

There's a couple different kinds. You might like the Poison Grunty - it has a similar color scheme to you.

The spirals that serve as pupils in Desco's red eyes begin pulsing as her irises start glowing.

"Oooo...Tsukasa wearing Desco's colors...Desco definitely approves!"

Slight pause as her tentacles start writhing behind her.

"...Desco thinks she needs to go lie down for a little while."

PANICKED BOLT UPWARDS

"YES! DESCO IS FINE! SHE IS DEFINITELY NOT EXPERIENCING WEIRD TINGLING SENSATIONS THAT SHE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND IN HER SPINES AND TUMMY! SHE JUST NEEDS TO LIE DOWN!"

The feed briefly blurs as if Desco is moving extremely fast before shutting off.

I guess that does kind of look a Grunty, but I'm pretty sure it's supposed to look like whoever runs the guild it's the mascot for.

... Guilds don't have that much stuff in-game, though. They have private chat and that's it.

It must just be that way in the version of The World you're used to. Otherwise the players I know wouldn't take guilds so seriously, and neither would I.

The only guild people really pay attention to is the Crimson Knights. I think there's a guild that a lot of the admins are in too, but I don't know what it is.

Haseo told me he was invited to a guild like that. The one with the administrators, that is.

The Crimson Knights sometimes got support from the administrators, but they normally just did their own thing.

... They did try to capture me, though.

Huh? Oh, no, not that kind of avatar... I mean, he had a special ability; I should have asked whether you were an "Epitaph User" or something like that instead, I'm sorry...

... I have no idea what that means, so...

They did want to know how I knew Macha, though.

An Epitaph User is... it's hard to explain. There's a thing called AIDA that's kind of like a bug in The World, and only an Epitaph User can defeat AIDA. I'm one, or... will be, I guess... Haseo said Macha was the name of one of the Epitaphs, though, so I guess that would make the admins interested in you.

There's a bunch of bugs in The World, but I've never heard of AIDA or Epitaphs. I know about Macha and Aura and the AI who tried to keep me trapped in The World and keep Aura asleep.

AIDA must just be in Revision 2, then...

Still, that's no good if an AI is keeping you from logging out. I have to go through that when I get back, thanks to AIDA.

Because... well. I don't... remember what things are like for me in the real world... aside from a few flashes of memory. Things are supposed to get better...
