[Midori is bouncing on the balls of her feet. She really likes this holiday - any holiday where you dress up is good for her!]

Just reminding you to get your Halloween costumes before the stores are out of all the good ones and you have to be a ghost with a sheet over your head! Not that it's bad to be a spooky ghost, but you can be so much more interesting.

If you don't have Halloween in your world, I'll explain what it is if you want!

"Oh, I didn't know you were a pirate! Sorry."

She doesn't look like a pirate, but this is Desco. She doesn't look like an evil overlord or whatever either.

"Desco even has her pirate ship parked outside her house!"

Suddenly disgruntled.

"It's too bad there's no way to get to the Item World here."

"I haven't been to your house. Is it a really cool pirate ship?"

"Yeah! It's shaped like Big Sis!"

"That's pretty impressive! I've never seen a ship shaped like anything but a ship."

"But that's because humans are terrible at building ships! Human ships can't even fly like proper ships!"

"Wow, that is really bad." By that metric, human ships do suck. "But that means the first human ship to fly will get to have all kinds of crazy adventures."

[tyrantball]

Nod nod nod.

"Yeah! Hopefully the Pan-Galactic Alliance won't blow them up!"

[prettytamer]

"I bet that won't happen!"

Not that. She knows what the Pan-Galactic Alliance is.

[tyrantball]

Desco considers this.

"...their murderous androids are pretty wastefully bureaucratic...did you know they actually wanted us to fill out forms to invade their moonbase?"

[prettytamer]

"That seems pretty dumb."

[tyrantball]

"That is what Desco said! We managed to kill alllll~ of them, though! And then we stole their blueprints and started manufacturing our own killer androids, unbound by tedious space alien bureaucracy!"

BEAMING.

"Even today there are hordes of murderous, free-willed androids roaming the Item World as Pirates! But they have their safety features enabled, so they're weaker than kitties and completely naked, which makes it really easy to kidnap them, break their spirits, and force them to become your minions!"

[prettytamer]

"...Oh."

Wow, what does she say to that.

"I'm happy for you?"

[tyrantball]

"Yaaay!"

Seems like that was the right thing to say.

"If Desco ever gets access to the Item World, she'll make sure to capture an extra android for you to brainwash!"

[prettytamer]

"Thank you." Midori laughs a little nervously. "Do you think that'll happen?"

[tyrantball]

Beaming.

"Probably not, but it doesn't cost Desco anything to offer!"

[prettytamer]

"That's true. It's still surprising of you to help out the Prism Mage sometimes."

[tyrantball]

"Oh, well, Desco has already conquered the Earth, so she can afford to be mag...magna...generous!"

[prettytamer]

"Mag-nan-i-mous."

[tyrantball]

Nod nod.

"Yes! Desco is so magnanimous she won't even send you to the salt mines for correcting her! She knows that some villainous tyrants do things like that, but Desco believes in rewarding initiative!"

Suddenly very serious.

"Desco has a list of people she's going to send to the salt mines - once she establishes them, anyway. They are all terrible people that made a little girl cry and hurt her kitty!"

[prettytamer]

Midori laughs a little nervously. "I'd be really bad at mining salt anyway. It's not worth it."

[tyrantball]

"...wait, does that mean when you send someone to the salt mines they're actually expected to get the salt out?"

[prettytamer]

"What else would they be doing? Sitting around playing checkers?"

[tyrantball]

"Desco thought that salt mines were active participants in destroying the miners! And when the salt had finished completely cocooning them, you just hauled their bodies out and used the cocoon!"

...what.

"...I... guess it could work like that somewhere..."
