A brief, anonymous text appears on the Network:

ATTENTION ALL VISITORS

I am currently working on a Newcomer's Guide To Hinoto-Ri. At this time, I am soliciting brief, one or two sentence descriptions of Visitor-owned and operated businesses for inclusion in the guide. In addition, if there's any information you feel would have been useful to you in your first month here, leave a comment and I will see if it can be included in the guide. Thank you for your time.

I think it would be nice to have a list of buildings from other worlds. Bits of home are comforting.
echo_of_a_jedi: (way too much moral ambiguity here)

...I just remembered there was that big fighting school that came from someone else's world, the Knight Academy. I wonder if anyone moved in after I left...

echo_of_a_jedi: (cool story bro)

I was attempting to do so myself, although I'm not very good at advertising.

Alright. Guess that means I should head over there again...

`The Knight Academy is a small training compound in the Aquarius district with all the amenities needed to learn more elegant forms of fighting: swords, bows, and other classical weapons. If you need training in that kind of weapon, or just want to talk, head there and ask for Meetra Surik.'

Is that what you were looking for?
echo_of_a_jedi: (we got this)

[personal profile] echo_of_a_jedi 2013-10-08 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Well for weapons training, I'm only any good with swords and pistols, and there's not really a firing range. If someone wanted to come teach archery or something, I'd really appreciate it.

There's also a lot of spare bedrooms and I get lonely when it's quiet at night.

I was mostly kidding.

You might want to add that people who go to the Phoenix Free School shouldn't go into the principal's office.

There's a password set up and anyone who says the wrong password gets hammered.

There's the Amagi Inn in the Scorpio District. I manage it with Kanji Tatsumi-san. It's a traditional Japanese style inn and hot spring.

And there's also the Ichiban Market in the Virgo District. It's from my world and they keep me as a consultant, but Nikolai Volkov-san is the manager. They sell groceries and household supplies.

Is there anything else you need to know about them?

[The next response takes a little while for Nano to type it all out.]

It's all traditional Japanese cuisine. Steamed rice and miso soup for breakfast in the morning, with sushi, sashimi, pickles vegetables, grilled fish, hot pot, and those sorts of things for the dinner entrees. There are plenty of vegetarian options available. Each room has supplies for guests to make their own tea whenever they like, and there are complimentary yukata and geta to wear while on the inn's grounds. The common area in the lobby has a television and table tennis. And of course, there are separate hot springs areas for men and women.

The market has fresh groceries as well as frozen foods. The produce and fish are fresh every day. The household supplies are mostly things you'd use in the kitchen, so while we have utensils and electric appliances, there aren't any medical supplies besides basic first aid kits. There are small notebooks and things like that as well.

Go to City Hall first to get the rest of your COMP, unless you arrive during the 13th Hour. If you do, find the nearest safe building to hide in until the demons are gone instead.

There is an observatory at [Location of the Ophiuchus Observatory here because I am a hurr and forgot where it is.] If you enjoy watching the night sky, it is a good place to do so.
badluckhealer: (and there's nowhere to go)

You are welcome. I am surprised nobody had mentioned them before me, considering how important to society they are.

That is definitely something to warn new students about!! I was unaware of it myself. Then again, I do not remember having cause to go to the principal's office.

Staying after to discuss matters with a teacher, yes, but not the principal's office.
