A brief, anonymous text appears on the Network:
ATTENTION ALL VISITORS
I am currently working on a Newcomer's Guide To Hinoto-Ri. At this time, I am soliciting brief, one or two sentence descriptions of Visitor-owned and operated businesses for inclusion in the guide. In addition, if there's any information you feel would have been useful to you in your first month here, leave a comment and I will see if it can be included in the guide. Thank you for your time.

Did you try the forest in Capricorn?
Was there anything other than that, though?
text; in which all he ever talks about
but would be nice to know from start so i wont feel sad
would you know how many kinds of bugs there is in forest, forest is bigger than one back home
still anon (but she likes bugs too)
Not entirely sure - I know there are millipedes, moths, and butterflies, but the forest itself is too far from the river to have centipedes. There are probably earthworms, and there might be mantises as well.
text;
i should spend time there too
thanks

Thank you for that, it's a good idea - I'll have to request a list from City Hall. Is there anything else you'd like to have included?

I'll look into that. It's very likely that it's not currently active, though - do you know if there's anyone capable of reopening it?

Alright then - give me a two sentence blurb and I'll include it in the guide.

`The Knight Academy is a small training compound in the Aquarius district with all the amenities needed to learn more elegant forms of fighting: swords, bows, and other classical weapons. If you need training in that kind of weapon, or just want to talk, head there and ask for Meetra Surik.'
Is that what you were looking for?
no subject
Yes, thank you very much. Are you looking for more teachers, or will you be handling it all yourself?

There's also a lot of spare bedrooms and I get lonely when it's quiet at night.
no subject
I'll include the first part in the description, then. There isn't much I can do about the second.

Is there a reason for that?

I'll make a note of that, yes. Any idea who set that up? If there's someone going around booby-trapping places people can reasonably expect to be safe the authorities should really be notified.

And there's also the Ichiban Market in the Virgo District. It's from my world and they keep me as a consultant, but Nikolai Volkov-san is the manager. They sell groceries and household supplies.
Is there anything else you need to know about them?
anon
The Amagi Inn - what style of cuisine do you serve there? Are there vegetarian options available? What other amenities are offered?
As for the Ichiban Market - by groceries do you mean frozen foods or do you carry fresh as well? How extensive is the selection of household supplies - do you carry cooking utensils? Medical supplies? Paper goods?
text
It's all traditional Japanese cuisine. Steamed rice and miso soup for breakfast in the morning, with sushi, sashimi, pickles vegetables, grilled fish, hot pot, and those sorts of things for the dinner entrees. There are plenty of vegetarian options available. Each room has supplies for guests to make their own tea whenever they like, and there are complimentary yukata and geta to wear while on the inn's grounds. The common area in the lobby has a television and table tennis. And of course, there are separate hot springs areas for men and women.
The market has fresh groceries as well as frozen foods. The produce and fish are fresh every day. The household supplies are mostly things you'd use in the kitchen, so while we have utensils and electric appliances, there aren't any medical supplies besides basic first aid kits. There are small notebooks and things like that as well.

Thank you for the comprehensive answers, that about covers everything I needed to know.
Do you personally have any advice for new arrivals?

Thank you, I will be sure to note that. Is there anything else you'd like to see in the guide?

anon
No, they haven't - not in that context, anyway. Thanks for reminding me.

The Phoenix Free School was mentioned, but apparently the principal's office there is password-protected and trapped.
anon
anon
The trap in question is capable of causing physical harm.
anon
Staying after to discuss matters with a teacher, yes, but not the principal's office.
