here's a question for the network:

why would an ally kiss you on the cheek?

i know it's a greeting gesture in some cultures, but there are also other connotations and it's just plain confusing. no explanation was given, either. it's just really confusing and i don't get it.

thx for any insights anyone might have.

Maybe they like you!

Depends on the person. Some people do it with their friends and some people mean it like boyfriend-girlfriend.

Or you could talk about it with your friend. That might clear things up.

Well, if you're sure. Good luck with whatever you decide to do, anon.

Well... They definitely really like you!

Whether it's another kind of 'like' depends more on the context, though.

Well, you see, when one ally loves another ally, they kiss each other on the cheek, hold hands, and profess their endless love to one another.

What were you doing before that?

It's a little different when this one's only half-trolling.

So, how about some context? Did you buy them flowers? Do something nice?

After all, in some cultures, kisses are a display of gratitude.

They probably were saying they had a good time.

But maybe you should try doing it to them next time and see how *they* react.

[kekekekekeke this is going to be great]

Oh? Don't you like flowers?

But, anyway. What manner of talking? Did you lend her an ear to one of her problems? Speak about something that made her happy?

To be fair, you're not doing that good a job of hiding yourself either.

Ah, but that would break anonymity.

You'll just have to guess~
