[He gives a small smile.] Hey, have you thought of letting her go to school during the day? They teach all grade levels in the Aquarius district, right?

She's definitely going to school.

That'll work fine on days that I work at the library... I'm more worried about the other days.

I get off of work earlier at Mays than you, I could always go visit her after work on those days. I don't know about the weekend though... what do you even do on the weekend?

The mornings and Sunday are fine, I just could use someone to check in on her on Saturday nights. I have a job that has me working the graveyard shift.

Graveyard shift?? Geeze, you make it sound like you're actually working in a graveyard. [He gives a small shrug.] I can check in on her whenever, though. [It's not like he went out on Saturday nights...] How late does your weekend job usually keep you?

Until four on Sunday morning.

[Geeze, Yu, was that very responsible with a little kid in the house?? At least she'd have school off on Sundays so he doesn't have to get up early to take her there.]

I'll check in on her and make sure she gets to bed on time, okay? You sure Nanako-chan's gonna be alright with you working so much, though?

[You think he doesn't regret it? If Nanako was not as responsible as she was, no way he would have taken as many jobs as he did. He already felt like he understood his uncle before coming here, but after taking on this much responsibility? He completely understood.]

[He rubs the back of his head a little.] Maybe I should try getting a better job, outside of a grocery store gig. It's not like my dad's the manager at this place, nobody's really relying on me for anything.

You shouldn't give up; you should prove to them that you've done this for awhile. Give them a reason to rely on you.

Heh, I'll try, but it's not like I want to be a grocery store clerk forever. [Yosuke gives a bit of a grin, though to be honest he's not sure what he really wants to do for a living...]

... People have been trying to make me choose something and decide, and the counselor at school's been bugging me about deciding a career path for college but...

I haven't thought of anything. I've honestly been trying not to think about it too much.

[Yu shrugged casually; if Yosuke was expecting a lecture, he was in for a surprise.]

So don't; I haven't decided yet either. You'll know what you want when the time comes.

[Well he hadn't been expecting a lecture but he certainly hadn't been expecting Yu to say that either... Yosuke blinks in surprise, and gives him a... genuinely relieved looking smile.]

Wow, you haven't decided anything...? ... That makes me feel a lot better, actually. I keep feeling like everyone else has got their lives all figured out and that I'm stuck in a rut.

...I have a lot of options, but I don't know what I want.

Honestly, when we go back to Inaba, I want to learn more about the TV world. And the shadows.

Well we know a bit, don't we? Shadows are created by people, anyway, the dark parts and fears of people's souls. Part of the ego or whatever.

[Yosuke looks down at his feet, tapping one foot a bit.]

Wouldn't it be cool to actually have a job using our Personas and figuring stuff like this out? You'd be a natural at it.
