This is Naoto Shirogane. I suppose I can say that I've returned, though I have no memory of this place.
[She folds her arms across her chest and looks away for a moment.]
How many of you recall my previous time here? I...apologize for not remembering you.

[text to Ryotaro Dojima;]
When you are available, I'd like to speak with you.

I'd like to speak with you, when you have the time. I have a few questions.

[A nod. She does get to work, quickly. She's direct when there's something that needs to be solved, and this place was mystery enough.
But there was one more thing.]
Ah, Kanji-kun...there was one other thing.
[Oh no Kanji what is she gonna ask???????]
Where is the police headquarters?
no subject
--oh okay. That makes sense. Slightly disappointed, but it makes total sense.]
Oh! Um...think it's in the Leo Ward, right next to the main government building? Somethin' like that. There's a map function on the watch they gave you.
[Now all he needs to do is calm down and stop sweating bullets.]
no subject
She pulls up the map.]
I see. I'll need to look more into this and the rest of the technology I was given.
[Someone's not getting much sleep tonight.]
no subject
...
[Oh right words. He should say them.]
Uh...you want me to cook you somethin' if you're gonna be working all night?
no subject
Food? Yes, that was a good idea. Her stomach grumbled...it had been a while since she had last eaten.]
O-oh, if you'd like to. That would be very nice. Thank you.
no subject
Uh...you have...anything in particular that you'd like?
[Yes excellent, giving her the choice is clearly the best way to go at this, surely it cannot backfire in any way.]
no subject
She glanced over, unsure for a moment, and then shook her head slightly.]
Anything would be fine...I'm not very picky.
[That wasn't very much for him to go off of, was it? She had to think for a moment. What did the look forward to the most?]
...I like grilled fish. My grandfather makes that often.
[Would he be alright, back home, without her? She sometimes worked late into the evening, so it wasn't like she did overly much around the home...if anything, he looked after her more than she looked after him. She tried to make herself as self-reliant as possible, to make that easier.
Not that he ever treated her as a burden. She just never wanted to be seen as a child that couldn't stand on their own.]

[He repeats it as Kanji FILLS AND SAVES FOR LATER USAGE, even if he himself doesn't realize it. He can totally do that! In fact, he can make the best damn grilled fish there is!]
You uh...stay right here what am I saying, of course you're gonna stay here. I-I'll be back...later.
[AND WITH THAT HE'S OFF! Without really saying goodbye. He was too nervous to notice, sorry.]
[Kanji returns after about an hour, looking a lot more tired than before. He looks guilty he couldn't do it faster, since she mentioned being hungry, but there was so much to make...and he admittedly didn't want to half-ass anything. He might have second guessed himself too much which slowed the process down. None-the-less the end results are pretty good.
But one's own self is the harshest critic and Kanji is feeling like he didn't make it good enough.]
no subject
You made this, just now?
[Woah. That was fairly impressive.]
Thank you, Kanji-kun. You didn't need to go through so much trouble...but thank you.
[That was really nice of him. She smiles slightly, and then gingerly takes the chopsticks in hand.]
While you were gone, I did a bit more reading. I haven't really been able to draw any conclusions from it, yet.
no subject
[He worked his ass off, but of course he's gonna brush it off like an idiot.]
Thank me if it's actually good.
[He sits down at the table.]
The place is pretty confusin'. I'm not surprised. There's a lot of weird things here that aren't like Inuba. Like the demons walkin' around that aren't shadows all, or the fact we can use Persona outside of the TV world cause of that weird butterfly guy.
no subject
[She goes a bit silent as she eats, but there's a slight smile.]
Thank you, Kanji-kun.
[Well, he DID say to thank him if it was good, and it was. So that was good enough, right?]
I suppose I need to see about employment...and school.
no subject
....
[Being speechless, perfect comeback.]
R-right! Most places are cool with hirin' us. [WHAT DO YOU MEAN I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT SCHOOL DON'T BE SILLY.]
no subject
That's good to hear. I'll head to the police department tomorrow, in that case.
