Does anyone want to train with me? My Persona could use some leveling up and it's not really worth it to use it on monsters since I have my own spells.

Oh, right. It uses Dark skills, mostly.

I'm mostly free whenever, just let me know if you want to train.

"The World doesn't have cross-class skills. I don't even know if I can do that here. There's already enough complains about Wavemasters being totally overpowered - which we aren't. We don't have any physical combat skills, we're - well. We're not glass cannons, but we're pretty close."

Then again he's already used Desco while Magichanged. Perhaps this argument is invalid.

Desco just looks like she can't believe what she is hearing.

"...Desco has never even heard of such an inane game mechanic. Who would even design something like that?"

"If you don't at least have some kind of role for different people in a party, there's not that much reason to group up. And usually people who make friends in games play them longer - which gets them more money."

He just uses it for an escape, okay.

Desco looks outraged at this.

"If the game developers want more money, they're supposed to gouge players with expensive DLC!"

"MMOs don't release DLC as often though. Usually once every few years. And they need to make enough money to develop the DLC."

Not that The World isn't a huge cash cow anyway...

Desco looks...confused.

"But isn't taking so long to release DLC a crack in the machine through which their emaciated victims might escape?"

... That's... a way of putting it.

"There's basically no other MMOs out there that are anywhere close to popular. So not really."

[tyrantball]

And now Desco is fascinated.

"How many of their corporate rivals did they need to assassinate to secure their monopoly? Oh! Oh! Did the streets run red with the blood of salarymen?!"

"Well, there was the whole Pluto's Kiss incident and Altimit OS was the only OS that got through it. I think CC Corp is partially owned by Altimit? Something like that. So everyone else had to start coding from scratch and get used to the new OS, and CC Corp had a leg up on things."

That's how it went, right? It's hard for him to remember.

"Ohhh, so they crashed the market and then established a complete monopoly! How ruthless! Desco should take notes."

"I'm pretty sure they weren't behind the incident, actually..."

He shrugs. "I think it ended up being some kid in... America, maybe? I don't really know what happened to them."

[tyrantball]

"Ohhh, America!"

There's a slight pause.

"...wait, Desco thought all Americans were too busy eating and shooting guns to learn computers!"

"... No, that's just a stereotype."

Desco please.

[tyrantball]

"Oh. Desco has never seen any part of the Human World besides Daddy's lab, so she didn't know."

[aurathread]

"Yeah. Though I haven't really spoken to many. My English is really bad."

Probably. It sounds right, at least.

"Okay! Desco has learned something!"

Desco claps her claws together briskly.

"And now it is time for violence! Let's go!"

... Right okay. He just heads after her, totally unsure if this is going to even work well.

As Desco leads Tsukasa around, there's a faint, distant chiming sound before a massive horde of strange blue things flies into view. Desco's response is to summon her new Persona once again and cast Mind Charge before glancing back at Tsukasa.

"C'mon, Soft Hands!"

Tsukasa gulps, and takes a deep breath before summoning his Twilight Guardian. It hangs there ominously, before spinning and casting Eiha on the closest one.

It's blown backwards at that with a sound like a gong being struck before jerkily floating back into position. Desco nods approvingly before directing Pele.

"Fire Dance!"

Between the Mind Charge and the Fire weakness, three of the bell creatures evaporate under the assault, fading away with a tiny, forlorn tinkling sound.

He considers his options for a moment, and then lifts his staff. Twilight Guardian spins again and casts a Marakunda, and then Tsukasa grins.

"Vulcan Pha!" A large golem-like man appears for a split second, before the two Rhapsodies closest to him explode into balls of flame.

"... Heh."

[tyrantball]

Desco nods appreciatively.

"Oooo. Fire Dance!"

The spell only triggers twice this time, causing Desco to click her tongue in slight irritation before several of the things launch Ice spells at her.

Tsukasa makes an annoyed noise at the creatures, and casts Matarunda at them. Not that Desco really needs the damage to be limited, but it's worth a shot.

Desco shakes a few ice crystals off her claws and gestures at the monsters.

"Fulgur Punch!"

In response to the command, Pele unleashes a seething mass of lightning that blows the remaining creatures out of the sky. As Desco crosses her arms and grumbles indistinctly, there's the sound of more bells as additional creatures float into view.

He sighs, and and turns towards the new enemies. Not worth using his strongest attacks...

"Lanceor Ch!" The image of the lightning spirit flashes again before lightning slams into two of the new enemies.
