Does anyone want to train with me? My Persona could use some leveling up and it's not really worth it to use it on monsters since I have my own spells.

Oh, right. It uses Dark skills, mostly.

I'm mostly free whenever, just let me know if you want to train.

True to her word, Desco shows up at Tsukasa's place before the 13th Hour arrives, floating up to the window and smushing her face against the glass. It makes for an interesting sight, considering her third eye and horns.

[Tsukasa opens the window for her.]

I could have just gone downstairs...

Desco grins toothily.

"This was more fun!"

Well then. That settles that.

He closes the window and shakes his head.

"Where should we go?"

[tyrantball]

"Cancer district!"

Desco does not even stop to think about it - either she was planning on going there or she just said the first thing to pop into her head.

Probably that second one.

"Mm. All right. Let's get going, then."

He tucks his key into his pocket and opens the door for her.

Desco grins, a light blush passing over her cheeks as she floats out of the door.

He's... he's not going to question that. He locks the door behind him and leads her towards the stairs.

"I don't really... like my Persona that much. So it's hard to get myself to train with it."

[tyrantball]

Desco peers at Tsukasa curiously.

"Desco's Persona is so cool, though! Hers is the original Final Boss! When Desco becomes a splendid Final Boss, she will offer the hero half of the world just like he did!"

"Mine is... something that someone gave me. She tried to keep me trapped in the game. So I don't really like using it..."

[tyrantball]

"Then just get a different one! Desco got a really neat one yesterday!"

With that, there's a sound like shattering glass as she demonstrates her latest Persona.

"Look, look! Isn't Desco amazing for having such a pretty Persona?"

"... Huh. Neat. And... well. My own magic usually works pretty well..."

He's just worried that one day it won't.

[tyrantball]

Desco draws herself up at that, leveling an imperious claw at Tsukasa.

"That's no good! To prepare for the day when Desco will rely on you, you have to be strong! As the Final Boss, Desco decrees it is time for cross-training!"

With that, she gently - for her, anyway - grips Tsukasa's arm and drags him onwards.

Well that's pretty strong for him, so he's easily pulled along.

"I can usually solo a lot of things on my own. Or I could in The World."

[tyrantball]

Desco harrumphs.

"Desco is the only one in this relationship that solos things! You're going to be first of her mid-bosses, so you better get used to having backup!"

First? He's at least a second or third boss...

"Yeah, but it wouldn't do for your bosses to not be able to solo mobs, right? They'd be pretty weak bosses otherwise."

Desco flexes her two primary tentacles as she continues to explain.

"But you'll need to be able to transform at least once, and everyone knows that transforming changes your battle style! And that's why Desco will subject you to her hellish cross training regime, so you can become the STRONGEST Mid-Boss!"

"The World doesn't have cross-class skills. I don't even know if I can do that here. There's already enough complains about Wavemasters being totally overpowered - which we aren't. We don't have any physical combat skills, we're - well. We're not glass cannons, but we're pretty close."

Forum arguments noooo.

Then again he's already used Desco while Magichanged. Perhaps this argument is invalid.

Desco just looks like she can't believe what she is hearing.

"...Desco has never even heard of such an inane game mechanic. Who would even design something like that?"

"If you don't at least have some kind of role for different people in a party, there's not that much reason to group up. And usually people who make friends in games play them longer - which gets them more money."

He just uses it for an escape, okay.

Desco looks outraged at this.

"If the game developers want more money, they're supposed to gouge players with expensive DLC!"

"MMOs don't release DLC as often though. Usually once every few years. And they need to make enough money to develop the DLC."

Not that The World isn't a huge cash cow anyway...

Desco looks...confused.

"But isn't taking so long to release DLC a crack in the machine through which their emaciated victims might escape?"

... That's... a way of putting it.

"There's basically no other MMOs out there that are anywhere close to popular. So not really."

[tyrantball]

And now Desco is fascinated.

"How many of their corporate rivals did they need to assassinate to secure their monopoly? Oh! Oh! Did the streets run red with the blood of salarymen?!"
