[She had waited a few days to make this announcement, just in case they came back or it turned out to be some sort of fluke, but nothing changed; almost every single one of her friends and family had left the city. And for the sake of those who had come to consider them their friends after all the time they had spent making here their home, Kairi figured she ought to put out a message on the network about the situation.]

For those of you you knew Aqua, Terra, Xion, Sora, or Riku... they've all returned home.

[The redhead could feel a lump catching in her throat, unsure if she could add anything on to that statement without breaking her composure; the sense of denial about the situation was finally crumbling. With a deep breath, her eyes shy away from the camera, giving it a final small nod before she turns off the feed.]

[Naminé is sitting on her bed nearby, reaching out for her sister once she sees that she's done.]

[Kairi immediately scoots over to curl up pathetically in Naminé's arms, trying not to cry but shaking terribly. Losing all of them in such quick succession was like one blow to the face after the other, and it was just too painful to take. Not to mention Sora was gone, their Sora from Facility, gone back to that torturous hell with not a single word to either of them...]

[Naminé cradles Kairi close, blinking her own silent tears away. They had known most of the others for only half a year, but their absence left an aching hole in her chest. And this not soon after Neku and Shiki were gone too.

Losing Sora is the worst of all, though. The heart of their family is gone again, and Naminé can't help but despair if it will ever recover.]

[She cradles her head against her sisters shoulder, the back and forth between her emotions and Naminé's emotions making her feel utterly and completely drained. Part of her wished Sora had never even shown up at all; that way, the deep piercing pain she felt right now would have remained the dull faint ache it was before. But that sort of thinking was plain selfish and terrible, and she hated herself for even having it pass through her mind.

Naminé was right on the money. Losing Sora for the third time now, first in termination and second in separation... his absence just left a gaping hole that couldn't be filled. At least the rest of their friends had a place to go back to, as much as it hurt to lose them as well... Sora only had death, if leaving hadn't plain killed him to begin with.]

All at once?

...Is that normal here?

Not all at once, but within the course of a few days they all started leaving. Some left notes, some didn't.

I don't believe this is a normal occurrence, no.

Ah. I see. I heard you could choose to go home somehow, but...

[He tries to switch the video to text, but it'll take a second because what is technology.]

I'm sorry to hear that, regardless of whatever the circumstances were.

[It's alright, she's doing text because she doesn't figure she can hold her composure well at this point.]

As far as I'm aware, that's what most of them did... I don't really know where else they would've gone and their COMPs are offline. Only two left notes saying they were planning to go home, the rest sort of just disappeared. It's not really like any of them to just go without a word, so I held off saying anything concrete about them being home in case they had been taken somewhere or something, though it wouldn't really be likely they'd have been kidnapped either; they're all strong people. So... I guess they just forgot.
