[Today, the network is greeted by yet another anonymous text message. Or rather, anonymous text messages, plural. At first, the memory merging wasn't too bad, but when the 21st happened, it was as if a switch had been flipped for the floodgates to be opened, except instead of water, it was memories. Emotionally engaging and possibly traumatic memories, at that. By then, it was much more painful for the both of them, and very clear that something was wrong.]

Greetings, Hinoto-Ri. Though I understand this may be a confusing time, we have questions we wish to ask of you humans. Or rather, it is because it is confusing that we wish to ask you all.

[There's a pause, and the typing style completely changes to one more rough and commanding. It's as if the COMP...was handed off to someone?]

Refrain from using "human", fool, you're being too obvious.

[And back again. ...Yes. Surely nobody can tell that it's those two. Surely.]

Hinoto-Ri, to be frank: my associate and I have observed an unusual peculiarity relating to memories within this city, and are asking if any others have noticed this as well. How many of you suffer from memories that do not belong to you? Are you aware of the cause?

[Yamato drops the anon with Fumi, and she'd see that he was in his apartment. Behind him, Fumi could possibly see Alcor just sitting at a desk, picking at a plate of takoyaki]

I presume the one you're memory sharing with hasn't had pleasant experiences?

[Fumi, for her own part, is currently at the JP's headquarters building.]

Transforming into a bear, killing my own father in a blind rage and then being sold into slavery? No. No, they weren't.

[She winces, covering her left eye with her hand as her body begins to shake.]

[There was a bit of an odd expression on Yamato's face. Was it... no, it couldn't be... Yamato pressed his hand against his mouth, his gaze averting downwards]

...I see. I'm sorry to hear that. But.

Have you noticed any links between yourself and this person you're memory bleeding with? Any hint would assist us in learning how to reverse this thing.

[Fumi nods, though it takes her a good few moments of intense concentration to bite back the pain of the most recent set of memories. Her demeanor is as matter of fact and flippant as ever, but it's hard not to be affected by that kind of thing.

Eventually, she recovers herself, though she does keep her eye firmly covered with her left hand as she carries on the conversation. With one final deep breath, she nods back at Yamato.]

...The strings.

The strings? Ah, those things that only those with a Support Persona can see?

[Another shallow nod.]

[A moment of silence, Yamato pressing his hand against his mouth again. The strings were tangled...? Was that possible? Well, obviously if it had happened, but, how? What caused it? Was it natural or... deliberate? Who could do such a thing?]

Are those with support personas able to manipulate the strings?

[She shakes her head back and forth, biting her lip.]

[Yamato 'tch'd, frowning somewhere off screen]

I doubt it happened naturally. They didn't tangle through normal means in the months we've been here, so something must have caused it. But what...?

[Yamato suddenly looked downwards, briefly irritated]

It seems this discussion will be cut short... I lost track of time. Perhaps you can knock heads with Alcor? He has been doing nothing but eating my food, anyway...

[Yamato looked over his shoulder, presumably glaring at Alcor, before he logged off]

[Though it's questionable how much they'll get solved with the short clipped answers Fumi's been giving apart from her explanation of the nature of her new memories.]

[And on the screen is...Alcor, this time. As Yamato said, he's picking at a plate of takoyaki on the side, before he pushes it away and faces Fumi on the video feed, businesslike in tone and mannerisms, aside from the hand to his head and the somewhat obvious expression of irritation (or pain) on his face.]

Fumi Kanno. ...Aside from entanglement, has there been anything different about the strings you have noticed?

[Fumi thinks for a moment before responding.]

I see. Then, the connections to our "homeworlds" are experiencing strain...though I don't know what that has to do in relation to our memories.

[And in their case in particular, they shared the same homeworld, so to speak, so...

He seems a bit irritated by the short responses Fumi's giving (thankfully she could still give information, at least it wasn't like her debacle with Botis), but accepts it. Information is still information, and he doesn't have a support Persona while she does, so it'd be in all their best interests for him to not call her out on it...yet.]

Hard to say.

[But if the books surrounding her and the computer next to her are any indication, she's working on it in her own way.]

[Yep. He can appreciate that much, at least.]

And there is no way to tell?

Working on it.

[For as clipped as her responses are, she doesn't seem to be irritated. Just... very brief. Her face is as unexpressive as ever, possibly even somewhat more so.]

[He nods. He knows that Fumi's capable...which is why he got his demon to possess her. His own face is rather inexpressive, due to his newly acquired habit of deadpanning whenever given the opportunity. But still, even he can muster up a bit of...gratitude? Of some sort.]

...The information you have provided is appreciated.

[A small nod.]

[Another nod, and he promptly disconnects the feed.]
