[voice] Of Orion the Hunter
[Even without actual video, it's pretty clear that the speaker is rather exhausted, or just too beyond putting emotional inflection in his voice.]
The Pleiades, attendants of Artemis and the lost daughters of Atlas, became one with the night sky to comfort their father. Orion, the Great Hunter who was slain by the Scorpion of Artemis, sought to conquer them. However, in his way lies the Great Bull, with it's fiery eye fixated on the Hunter.
[There's a pause, however brief, and his tone shifts to something a little more humanlike.]
Though there are many variations on these myths, it may be wise to also look in to them.

voice --so he doesn't lapse in to using cheering up emotes--
[There's a pause, and his tone turns a little softer.] It is our duty to help. That is what we've chosen to do, is it not?
anon | text; he'd just be confused which might be better or worse
don't use that tone don't use that tone don't use that to- aw fuck there's no exiting this conversation nowEven though it's really goddamn obvious who he is now, he's going to keep the anon on and keep using text.]
Indeed. But information gathering is made easier and more efficient when done in large numbers.
[And taken forcefully, sometimes.]
The aid of the natives would be most valuable, then. Whether they wish to cooperate in order to mitigate another occurrence or not...the choice is theirs to make.
[The next reply is immediate.]
Of course. To provide the assistance humanity desires...there is no greater honor or pleasure.

I hope that we can all work together, though I can understand why it would be impossible. Perhaps I have become too hopeful and optimistic, but I am not sure it is a bad change.
;v;
Humans have the rare gift of making the impossible possible. Having faith in each other and acting in concert is a strong show of will, and the population here can certainly be called willful.
[...Roles reversed, for a moment. Although, he's glad it's text because if he had to say it out loud, in person...it'd be a bit different. His optimism is still a little cautious, after all. A bit shakier than Saiduq's. Text gives him the option to express that sentiment without his being belying it, and he's grateful for that. Even after all those failed timelines, after all those dead-end possibilities, he'll still cling on to that
super high school levelhope. If he couldn't cling on to that, what else could he cling on to...?]It is not a bad change at all. Your existence brings me peace.
[Because it was proof, living proof that in one possibility out of millions, he became something more than a tool. Found himself. Found his purpose. Assisted humanity in the best way he knew how. And if the time comes that he should die once again, he'll find the mere thought of Saiduq's existence to be a comfort in his final moments.]
