6th Cooking Attempt [Accidental Video] Forward dated to the 13th Hour

[The COMP turns on to show Yukiko looking less than specatular; she's been letting out some pent up frustration on some monsters around the Virgo District and she may have bitten off more than she could chew. Needless to say, there is a beaten up and bloodied priestess on the network.]

I'm sorry...but if anyone was wondering where I've...been...I'm okay. Just a little...

[She stops and the device falls from her hand, landing on the ground. Not even a second after that, she too collapses and blacks out. The feed is still going but Yukiko isn't moving an inch. Someone might wanna stop by Virgo before the monsters see her.]

((OOC: No responses will come from her obviously so if anyone wants to talk with her, they need to see her in person.))

To say it was a huge mistake for them to keep their guns trained on the people guarding Yukiko was an understatement.

Not a minute later, one of them, that poor bot trying to shoot Zero in the back, is telekinetically lifted off the ground and subsequently smashed into the pavement, knocking the hapless machine right on its side if not outright destroying it, and the person responsible for it -- a redhead armed to the teeth with guns -- reveals herself a modest distance behind the enemy group.

"They made such a tactically sound move today by letting themselves get surrounded like this." She couldn't help the sarcasm, not in the least.

[Shepard stops to lean against the spot next to Zero.]

She'll be fine. Shouldn't take too long to heal those wounds with the doctors we have.

[In comes Shepard once Chie comes out, leaning against the wall and giving her a stern look--guess who isn't too happy with your rashness earlier, but still concerned for her health.]

Hey. You holding up alright?

[Nope! It's actually Rise following in quietly, holding something behind her back.]

Hey, senpai. Sorry I didn't catch up to you sooner. I saw your message, but I couldn't exactly talk to you while you were out cold...

[By this time, Yukiko is looking down at her hands. She can't bare to look at anyone without getting emotional. But she does nod in reply.]

[She shakes her head.]

It's ok, Rise-chan. I'm...sorry I worried you too.

As the plasma shots streak towards Desco, she doesn't even bother dodging them, instead opting to just cross her arms over the point of impact with her palms facing outwards. As the blasts crash into her arms, she snorts derisively and shakes her claws like she's flicking off water.

"Is that the best you can do?! Desco barely felt that!"

Behind her, Dragonlord raises his staff and swings it like a mace, unleashing an Atom Smasher.

Well, I'm not going to say it was easy, but if I got too worried every time one of you guys passed out...

[Changing the subject quickly, she takes what she brought from behind her back - a bottle and a small takeout box.]

More importantly, you look exhausted. I've got a Persona that can heal you now if you still need to get patched up, and I brought you some orange juice and some food since you look like I do after two weeks of shows.

H-Hey, wait! [ Chie was excited for a moment, that maybe someone was already there to help, but the fact that he shut it off makes her even more scared and angry than she was before. Luckily she was able to see where Yukiko was though, and was out the door in seconds. ]

[He still doesn't lift his head, even when he hears the footsteps stop next to him. His eyes open though, slits bearing white and dark, staring down the floor ahead of him as if one of the very Pantheons they battled earlier stood there. A hand standing on his knee clenches shut into a fist.]

She shouldn't have gotten hurt to begin with. Why was she by herself if she couldn't handle them?

Is it really that bad?

[Ok so she's feeling the ouch factor now. And she really appreciates the food. Thank god it's takeout.]

Of course, with Hunters not being as durable as their Guardian variants, the one affected by telekinesis is roughly handled, its neck snapping off from the force of impact and the body itself breaking apart immediately into a mess of junk and limbs. Zero briefly turns around when he hears this before looking forward again and giving a measured nod to the newcomer.

The hapless shooter that assaulted Desco is met with the shine of a million slices over a large area, its form lifting up into the air ever so slightly in staggered reaction to the unrelenting onslaught, before it falls to the ground in a shower of minutely-sliced metal. The spectacle is certainly a sight to see, despite it being used against only one enemy. Oh, wait, it caught the one trying to ~~kill itself~~ attack Zero, so that's two down.

The new group nearby is another formation, this time of four Guardians and four Hunters. The Hunters in the back ready themselves to fire, two aimed at Shepard and the other two aiming towards Desco and Zero. The Guardians advance, their electric rods readied in the air while they advance forward with similar targeting.

The Reploid glances behind him once more to observe the girl he's standing guard near. Her injured state continues to bother him, though he's not entirely certain why right now. All he knows is a mixed feeling of wanting to get her out of here and wanting to terminate the robots. Of course, he's done the latter before, but this time it feels different somehow, an anger rising under his self-control.

He fires off a few more rounds to halt the Guardians moving toward Shepard after he refocuses. By that point the Hunters are already firing, a crossfire beginning to emerge on the street. "We have an injured here, we can't stay for long!" Zero shouts over to the one not so interested in having pure iron being a balanced part of their diet. He charges his Buster Shot as he does so, his eyes rapidly skimming through the battlefield to set his sights on his next target.

Desco clicks her tongue in annoyance at Zero's exclamation, and proceeds to de-summon Dragonlord. As a pair of her secondary tentacles extend to snap up the fragments of the robots she's just consumed, Desco glows blue as she summons a different persona - Kikimora.

"Here's some service from the Final Boss! Media!"

With that, Desco places the tips of two claws to her mouth and blows a kiss in an exaggerated fashion that suggests she's mimicking something she's seen before, as her secondary Persona releases a wave of healing magic.

"You had better appreciate Desco's amazing kindness!"

Well, that was definitely effective--they were somewhat reminiscent of those droids she'd had to fight through now and then. Definitely a reason to do it more often against these scrap heaps... Shepard quickly turns her attention to the next group, backing her way towards the people surrounding Yukiko. As she goes, she summons up another Heavy Slam for the Guardian closest to her, surely resulting in its end as well.

"I'll appreciate it when we're not at risk of getting the kid killed!" Shepard looks to Zero once she's close enough. "Hate to ask a fresh face for this, but is there any clear way out you can see from here?" Not that she hadn't gotten used to the contours of the districts yet, but something about him just screamed synthetic--he might be able to figure out a better route than she could under the circumstances.

So, care to give an explanation for why you went out into the 13th Hour? I'm all ears.

Can't say for sure until we go in there and talk with her...though I'm betting on sheer recklessness.

[And she didn't seem the type to be, looking back on that whole mess...]

[She normally goes out during that time in order to get stronger. There's not really a place to train for it anyway.]

I normally go out during it. But I didn't realize how tired I must've been before.

[It didn't help that she's been feeling like on auto pilot since someone left. It made it worse with the Anoli, inn duties, school, and two morons out there and not having a damn clue about what happened to them. Hint: it's the other versions of bowlcut and junes prince.]

You don't have to apologize to me, I'll come to save you no matter what happens. It's not like I've never gone off to fight by myself.

[ Oh hey it's Rise-chan! Good thing she didn't seem to notice and/or comment on the fact that Chie was on top of her best friend hugging her and crying. When she enters Chie quickly sits up letting Yukiko go and awkwardly smiling. ]

H-Hi Rise-chan.

[ Her super nose picks up the smell of the food before the idol can even mention it. ]

You brought food?!

Zero was paying little attention to Desco somewhere along the way for awhile until the wave of healing hit him and everyone else. A number of shifted glances between her and Yukiko however made it clear to him that even if it was effective, it wouldn't be enough to wake the fallen girl from her state.

As expected, the Guardian Shepard attacks with the Heavy Slam is met with apparently fatal injury — the body snaps jaggedly in two from its sudden momentum meeting the ground, and lays still there.

He looks toward Shepard with a raised lean of his head as he continued to keep an eye on the battlefield. Her bets were right-on: His midnight-blue eyes couldn't easily be mistaken for a human's irises at this close distance by now. "With how these machines act, we'll have to fight out way through." The green glow of his body escapes him finally when he releases his charge from his Buster Shot, knocking out the lower torso region entirely from the other Guardian nearing Shepard, it falling down in a similar state.

The other two Guardians march their way over towards Desco, and if they're close enough they'll attempt to stab or thwack at her with their electric rods.

Continuing to keep the shield active to block any shots from the outlaying Hunters from hurting the girl behind him, he returns to the conversation with a question of his own. "Think you can keep up?" It's not spoken with a cocky attitude, far from it; the tone carries almost nothing in his voice, aside from a stressed urgency that tells on its own he's going to decide what to do if the Commander doesn't.

... You can go find out the reason then, if it has to do with that.

[There is a tension in his movements that betrays his voice, if only subtly. His hands flex and clench slowly even as he lifts himself off the ground after saying so, his blonde hair falling behind him in a wave. He didn't want to stick around to see the girl or hear what she had to say of it. Him remaining there pertained only to her health, nothing more.

The concern is gone by now, replaced with words of reprimanding, carrying a bite of its own despite a lack of force in his voice. It was one thing if she was an incapable citizen, but he knew from Yukiko's passcard that she was a Visitor. To go alone into the 13th Hour and not know your limits was foolhardy at best.]

There's no reason good enough for me to find out. Nothing excuses what could have been a senseless death.

[She can definitely feel you on the Anoli issue. Not so much on the rest of them, though.] Tired, huh?

And time off wasn't gonna do anything for that feeling, I take it?

[She shook her head.]

I tried but it didn't work.

[It's so bad that she didn't finish her take out from Rise. It was fried tofu for crying out loud! Her favorite!]

[So she must've gone out there to try and get rid of some empty feeling she can't shake off.

Well, that just won't sit with her for long.

Shepard walks over to her and gives her a soft pat on the back; comforting her's the least she could do now that she's in.]

The least you could do is hang in there, kid. Your friends wouldn't want to see you like this, I'm sure.

I didn't tell them because I didn't want them to worry. They have enough going on...I didn't want to add on to it.

[She's supposed to be strong, she wanted to be for everyone. Yukiko's not allowed to break down for that reason.]

[Being strong doesn't equal taking everything on by yourself.]

...So what you mean to say is, you don't want to ask for help because they have too much on their plate.

You know, I'm not seeing the logic behind this when they're your friends, and would probably do what they can if you just asked them.
