Perhaps it's because she hasn't seen her home in nearly two years or that no one from Fortuna managed to get here either, being rather worried.

It is when I nearly died trusting someone.

[It's been over a year but that day is still fresh in her mind. If Weiss wanted to see two people suffer just for his amusement, then mission accomplished.]

Then... maybe you need to take it slow? Find someone you think you can open up to, and be careful. But that's hard in a city full of strangers, though. It's kind of a hard one, this problem.
