[A simple anonymous text goes out to the network today. Nothing malicious, honest, just curiosity speaking. For those who know him well, it’s anything but anonymous when they read it. It's a habit of his, after all, and bringing up his identity (or attaching an identity at all) might cause a bit of bias...though asking questions anonymously would subject him to some bias from those browsing the network anyway as well. ~~Shhhh.~~

Ever-curious, ever-wondering. And...a bit ever-tactless, at times. Despite the fact that several people just returned from something quite traumatic, he’s most interested in their thoughts. However, others are certainly welcome too. Nothing wrong with that.]

Though seemingly unpredictable, the power to traverse worlds may contribute to the growth in humanity’s possibilities. But will it lead to man's destruction instead, or...?

[Of course, he may sound a bit detached, but considering his own situation...oh well. Most of the humans here seemed to want to go "home", despite their duties here, and despite the need of their presences here.

And then an apparently illogical topic jump/subject change. Honestly, it’s something he’s been wondering for quite a while now, ever since his arrival. Now that people have experienced more of the proof of existence of multiple worlds, surely this would be a good time to bring it up.]

Hinoto-Ri, I wish to know. What do the worlds you hail from possess that make you desire to return to them so?

Or, for those who have recently returned, another question, if you will. What in this world did you desire while you remained in another?

I see...it is not loneliness, but a longing for familiarity instead. Forgive me for misunderstanding.

[To him, loneliness and being alone are rather different. He was used to being alone for nearly all his life, but never felt...loneliness. Humans need air to breath. Water is wet. The sun is hot. He is alone. Universal facts, they are...supposedly.]

Perhaps it would be problematic were you to find out...for them or for yourself.

Curiosity is an enduring trait of your species, as is the tendency to defy the paths laid out for you.

Yeah, that's pretty much the size of it. His brother's been tryin' to scrape by and pull in enough for the both of 'em, bless his heart, but I don't think he's got what it takes to survive in a world like that. Only a matter of time before he ends up just as bad.

With what I've observed, there's some things that just don't add up. They seem content to keep me in the dark, so I have to investigate on my own.

I've had much longer to grow closer to the people I know from home. I have an adopted daughter. There are people that know me and rely on me.

It's lonely here, in comparison.

A tower full of kidnapped people, all of whom where told their home worlds had been destroyed. They were kept in line by collar devices around their necks, and run through experiments and games by those in charge of the tower. We were subjected to some of this as well during our stay.

More than anything, though, I regret leaving them behind, since we could do nothing to help them escape.

The freedom to choose is a wonderful thing. I hope you intend to at least preserve that when the time comes.

And it's really the most trouble for me... since the others don't know a lot of the background information, I think. I could live with their outcomes - one of them was the ideal one for me - so it seems I ended up with the worst one.

One of them knows some of it. However, it's impossible for them to grasp all of it, to be honest.

A little of both, to be fair, but mostly the first. Some experiences can only truly be understood if they're lived through.
