Somehow... I seem to have missed Valentine's Day. I remember I was going to run by the store, but things get a little fuzzy...

[Yeah, her memories after getting hit by that arrow? Are so hazy she's pretty certain it was all just a dream. But maybe that's for the best.]

I was planning to give out chocolates, but it seems like I forgot to do that as well. Would anybody mind if I gave it to them today? I apologize for being late. I bought some extras, too, so even if we haven't met before, I don't mind sharing. Just let me know and I would be happy to give you one.

[And, as almost an afterthought-]

It sounds like almost everybody received coupons for a dinner for two. I was thinking, it might be nice if everyone went in a group. If we use the coupons for a pair of people each, we could use half of the coupons on one trip and then the other half for a second group dinner somewhere else. It would be a great way for everyone to relax and enjoy spending time with each other. Would anybody else be interested in doing this?

She takes her time looking at each item, although her interest definitely seems to lay in the window ornaments. After a moment of thoughtful staring, she finally picks up one of the pieces of stained glass. "...I love the colors you used for this one... Would this be alright...?"

He gave a nod. "Of course it would be. And I have some extra string, if you'd like, to hang it with...?"

Not that it didn't have a little loop, but that would hardly reach a tack above the window in her bedroom and still hang down properly in front of the glass.

"That would be fantastic, thank you so much!" She certainly looks very pleased, holding the piece of glass close to her chest in her glee.

He tries not to grin too much as he heads to another little shelf to poke around, fishing out a spool of... what is it, some sort of thick black thread, like for upholstry? ....and pulls off a yard of it, holding it up. "How much would you like?"

"I think half of that would be good, just to be sure. I can always trim it down as well if I need to." If she hangs the string from a nail above the window, and the glass piece from that, it shouldn't take too much, but it's also always better to have a little more than necessary for just in case.

"Right."

He stepped to the table, picked up his scissors, and cut it for her.

"Here you are, then."

She looks curiously at the scissors he uses. They look a little... dated. But she quickly replaces that expression with a smile.

"Thank you. I'll put it up right away!"

He gave her a nod, putting the spool and scissors away again. "What sort of things are usually given in return for chocolates...?" He can't help but wonder, honestly; he'd only learned of the tradition a couple minutes ago.

"Well... usually they are items that are white." Thus the name. "But this is just fine, too," She adds hurriedly. "It's the thought that counts in the end, and I really do like this very much."

He bit the inside of his lip again, but he couldn't help the smile. She had picked it out herself; he hoped she'd like it! ...as it was, he made a mental note to himself about exactly which ornament she'd picked.

"I'm glad to hear it." He picked up the little box again, and set it up in his little kitchenette's cupboard... and there didn't seem to be a whole lot else in there, but he had said he was a vampire, hadn't he?

"So a bit of stained glass similar to that, but with more white in it, would be more traditional a gift than that piece?"

"A little... But really, a gift like this is fine too." She feels the need to emphasize that, because truly, this piece suits her much better than any sweets or jewelry would.

"If you're certain." He's plotting, Aoi. He's plotting. At least he's hiding it relatively well?

"Well, I suppose... I don't mean to be rude, but I should probably get going. There are a few other gifts I wanted to give out today." She looks apologetic, even bowing her head slightly. "But if you wanted to spend some time together later, perhaps?"

"Of course. Any time."

A standing invitation has been issued!

"Okay! I'll see you then!"

And with a wave, she makes her leave! Let's see, who else did she owe chocolates...?
