Hello, everyone! You may have already noticed from the stores, but tomorrow is a holiday called Valentine's Day. I know not everyone is from Earth so I thought that it might be good to explain it.

Valentine's Day started in the West as a religious holiday, but it's turned into a holiday for showing people you love them! In some countries, you mostly give gifts to your girlfriend or boyfriend. In Japan (and Hinoto-ri) though, it's different. On Valentine's Day, women give chocolates to the men they know, and next month, on White Day, the men give gifts in return. Giving a guy fancy chocolates means you really like them! (o⌒.⌒o)♡

[If this were voice, this is where it would turn more serious.] A lot of us are waiting for people to come home, and we don't know how we can help that to happen yet. The people you love the most might not even be in the city at all. But we can still have fun for a day. And who knows... they might even show up tomorrow in time to celebrate.

...Anyway, if there are any girls (or boys, even) who want to learn how to make Valentine chocolates, come stop by the Iwatodai Dorm today. I have some ingredients ready. [attached: directions.txt] And if you have a recipe of your own you want to try, bring what you need and we'll make it, too!

[As promised, Minako has a good amount of chocolate and related materials getting ready for use. She's got the door to the kitchen open and the stoves working melting the chocolate, but a lot of the ingredients are spread out on the large dining-room table in the lobby. She's not sure how many people will take her offer, after all.

It may seem odd to do all of this when she doesn't even know if her intended chocolate recipients will be home tomorrow. But keeping busy has always been her trademark. When she's focused on other things, or other people, she doesn't have to worry about herself. So really, this level of activity isn't strange at all.]

So, uh, how long does the book say to wait for them to bake?

All right! I think those sound really cute too, so I'm glad we're going to try them out.

[She gets out the instructions.] So first we'll have to measure the chocolate and melt it.

Although she has to admit he does do a good job of looking grumpy.]

About twenty minutes! Then we should check and see if they're done.

All right! So what've you brought to make?

[she's looking curiously at the things Nano's setting out on the table.]

I thought it would be nice to have an assortment, so I brought ingredients for white, milk, and dark chocolate. I also have some nuts and raisins for people who would enjoy a little surprise inside their chocolate.

Well, I have a lot of different molds for chocolate candies, but I also have recipes for protein brownies and petit-fours.

[The candies are the easiest recipes; just melt the chocolate and pour it in. No one should be able to mess them up. Unless you are Chie.]

Protein brownies? You can get protein from chocolate?

[Yukiko not that way.]

No, brownies with protein powder in the batter. They're really for my senpai. He likes protein but not sweets.

[That's not too long at all!]

This was really fun Minako-san. Thanks for letting me help out. I'm learnin' about my friends little by little.

That's pretty clever of you to do for him!

Okay then. How much chocolate should we be using?

I think about a quarter of a bar for each one. We can use the scale to make sure... Or we can just melt it all and then pour into the molds. That's probably more efficient. We can use leftovers for something else.

Alright then. Should I get the hot water started?

1. That's why we're here to help it out. No one's going to be able to do anything if they only work alone and hate each other.

It wouldn't be fair to give him a present he doesn't even like.

[Meanwhile, Minako is sorting out the tools she has in order to pick something for them to make.] How about these heart candy molds? They're pretty easy but look cute.

That's true too.

[Wonder what protein tastes like...maybe she'll ask Chie later. Now that she looks at the molds, hearts would be simple enough to get the message across. It reminded her of how simple the omelette rice she and Nano made and yet it tasted really good.

Also, chocolate making beginner? Yeah, stick with those.]

I think it fits for the day.

[Orihime goes still, her mouth turning into a small 'o'. Now that was a proposition she couldn't possibly refuse. She'd never made petit-fours before, but she'd always meant to give it a shot. But making them with brownies and chocolate? Her mind couldn't possibly embrace and adore the idea any more than it was now.]

That sounds amazing! I'd love to try that!
