[It's been a day since the network went back up (and everything associated with that), and Xion's been able to settle her thoughts a little, and think about other things. Because while what happened was definitely bad, it wasn't the kind of bad that could overwhelm your thoughts and push out anything else.

Especially when you don't have much to do anyway. And eventually of course, Xion remembers something she meant to ask when the network went back up anyway.]

I know... that this might seem like a strange question, but... does anybody have any idea what to name a cat?

[Names are not her and Sora's forte, okay.

And... just because it seems like a good idea.]

To anybody I haven't seen since... since Thursday, I'm okay. And... if you could let me know you are too it'd mean a lot to me. Thanks.

[Saying she's okay is not quite the truth but close enough, right? Ignore her tired voice and refusal to use video; she's okay, honest. Besides finding her friends is more important. Sora's given her some of the details but hearing from the people themselves...]

[Nano's really only talked to Xion once or twice, but after what happened, she's glad to see any familiar faces at all. The worry is written across her face as plain as day when the video comes on, unsure of exactly what state the other girl is in.]

[She isn't even sure if the other girl will remember her, really, but she's really mostly interested in providing what hopefully comes as a little bit of comfort.]

What is the cat like?

[ Minato recognizes that voice! And... he's glad that Xion pulled through everything okay. He had no idea she was injured, of course, but things had been so dangerous...

But he'll ignore her lack of video and her tired voice if she does the same for him. He's much less tired now than he was before, though. ]

I never had the time for pets, but I think Phyllo would be a good name for a cat.

[Xion does! Though it feels like it's been a while]

That's good. [Especially if Nano was there on Thursday which... Xion isn't sure. But she's guessing yes.] I'm glad you're okay. [Um um... how does small talk work anyway] How've things been since Thursday?

[A voice she recognizes too! She smiles, though he can't see it.]

Well... it's a girl, she's still pretty much a kitten. She really likes exploring, though.

[Huh... It doesn't sound that bad.]

[Nano was too afraid to go to the hospital and check up on how anyone was doing. She saw the shape some people were in by the end of all of that, and she just couldn't bear the thought of seeing her friends in such a state close up.]

Do you think everyone else is all right too?

My... partner named our cat after someone he knew from home that the cat acted a bit like.

[Well... quiet means there isn't anything bad happening. As for Nano's question though... Xion frowns. She wishes she had better news]

I'm not sure... I haven't gotten to see everyone but... [She doesn't want to leave Nano with that, not when she seems upset] I'll bet they're okay. The doctors have been working really hard, from what I can see.

Jungo...

I've never heard a name like that for a cat before.

[It doesn't sound like a girl cat's name either... not a bad name just... she isn't sure it fits?]

While I do not understand the casual naming many people use
I have been told that "Jungo is a very good name"

If I recall correctly, they also attempted "Cookie" and "Boots"
However, Jungo Torii was insistent on naming the kitten Jungo
Ease of memory seemed to be important

How did he keep them from getting mixed up? Did he not get to see the person the cat was named after a lot?

[Which is like the most common name you can name a cat ever. Not like Shiki was a wizard at names herself. Mr. Mew anyone?]

Back home we had a couple of pets, I think Sora named most of them. There was Mittens, Rai, Myu, Natsu, Naoki, Axel Two.....

She is. [Biased already] And she's white, with a few black patches all over.

Axel Two? Sora didn't really name them that, did he?

[If that's the case she might have to revoke naming rights from her universe's Sora on sheer principle.]

That name was all Axel's doing. He tends to be pretty uncreative on the naming front.

It's a cute name right?

[Shiki will probably think of a couple more though to follow that one up.]

Hmm... There's Miyuki, Sayuri, Kano... What else?

What a strange thing to talk about.

[Mia chuckles, some. She's been listening in on the network, wandering around the city, and generally watching as disasters happen. But this, this is interesting...]

Give it whatever name you think is interesting. Isn't that what most do? Most can come up with names for themselves.

That's a relief. I was really worried. I tried to help as many people as I could, but there was so much happening.

[Someone sounds a little exhausted herself. But to see such a common question, one that's normal is kind of nice.]

I believe some take into account personality traits and coloration patterns when trying to come up with naming conventions.

[Please don't ask her for suggestions. She's probably as bad at it as they are.]

My brother and I were having trouble deciding. I was just looking for some ideas, that's all.

[The relative normality of the question had been why Xion had been a little hesitant to post it, thinking it might've been out of place or something

She smiles at the answer though.]

I guess that's why someone else asked what the kitten was like. I'll have to think about it. She's black and white, and she really likes exploring.

[Xion laughs until her ribs ache, which doesn't take that long unfortunately given a couple of them had gotten cracked during the fighting, but still. The laughing turns to a bit of a cough as the pain hits though, and she does her best to stifle it, refusing to let it bring down her good humor.]

Either that or he figured it wasn't worth spending a lot of time on.

[She isn't sure how much their Axel differed from hers. She'll have to ask her own sometime what he would name a cat]

...I don't think I know of many names. Perhaps... Lionus? I met a man named that, once. He was very kind.

[The voice over the COMP is scratchy and tired, but recognizable as the man she met on the tower.]

Well, there's silly things like Whiskers and Fluffy but Sora and I didn't really think they fit.

Hmm. Do you have anything that holds a particular meaning to you? I see that used for a name fairly often. Names of... what I suppose might be foods. Or songs. Honestly, any strange combination of words.

But simple is better. Longer, more complicated names are dull and boring.

Thank goodness.

[She seems to have calmed down a little, at least. Nano's pretty trusting and she really does want to believe everyone's fine, so it's not that hard.]

[Honestly, she still feels kind of helpless here. There's so much more she wanted to do for everyone during the attack, and now she's feeling a little bad that she can't help with the recovery either.]

Exploring?

[Wasn't that normal behaviour of cats? Mitsuru's never lived with one, so she has nothing to compare it to. But she has heard some students talking about their curious pets.]

Well, you could find a book on explorers and expeditions of the world and see if any match or fit for a name.

Hm. If she was all black, I might have suggested Ninja.
