[Oh, hey. Looks like somebody's figured out how to work the watch because there's a shot of this silver-haired teen. He grins at the camera, before leaning back against the edge of one of the buildings.]

So, I'm looking for a dork with spiky hair and ridiculous, yellow shoes. Kind of dense, goes by Sora. Chances here, he's lost. Sora never was the best with directions. And in a place like this, he could use all the help he could get.

So if any of you have seen him, do me a favor and point me in the right direction. Somebody's gotta keep an eye on him, after all.

Oh yeah, and anyone got any suggestions on places to scope out? This city's huge, and I've barely scratched the surface so far.

Of course not. But as I said, things are just as weird for him as it is for you. It's gonna take some time for everyone to adjust to this world and its new standards-- Rome wasn't built in a day. But maybe you two could try to make it just a little bit easier for each other?

...I could tell it was important.

[He had been the only one, who'd been able to see the Keyhole after all.

He shakes his head.]

It's not your fault.

[If anyone, it's Xehanort's. ...And Riku's. Destiny Island has been restored, nobody but himself, Sora and Kairi actually remembered the event... but that doesn't change the fact that he had killed the whole world's population -including friends, class mates, his parents... basically almost everyone he'd known his whole life - without a second thought for curiosity's sake. That's a fact he'll always have to live with.]

And how am I supposed to do that?

[Because really, Kairi. With his attitude, how can he just...?

Sigh. This is a mess.]

[There... were reasons why the worlds had remained separated. None of which he'd liked, but he'd understood them.

Trying to make this younger Riku understand was... going to be painful.

There was a storm. The Heartless showed up and started wrecking the place.

[...And that was his fault? Had he really left his world exposed like that?]

I didn't stop to think about it. I just wanted to get off of that island, no matter the cost.

[...Man, did he really screw up?]

How you and Sora put up with me at that age, I don't understand.

[Because. Seriously. He is having trouble to keep from strangling himself. He'd known he'd been an idiot at that age, but. Somehow he had repressed the memory of how much of a brat he'd been.]

Any tips how to do it better?

Try to... try to soften the blow. Don't be angry. Don't even try to get across anger or disappointment. Don't let the guilt at not being there to tell him otherwise seep in.] You couldn't have known; there weren't any Masters left that knew about you or that small, bright world you were from. None left that could have taught you that unlocking a Keyhole would lead to disaster for the newly-exposed world.

[Once that text is finished, he can't deny the flicker of sadness he's feeling anymore. Riku... forgot. The kid that had been wise beyond his years, and reminded him of why he had wanted so desperately to be a Master... had forgotten why he wanted to leave. Why he sought strength.

'Was it worth the cost, Riku?' Because... you'll have to live with it now.]

I know you wouldn't have opened it, if you knew what would happen.

[And he'd been the one to pass the power to see the Keyhole. All Keybearers could see them, being the ones that held the 'key' to those locks.

A 'hm' sound, before he replies again, sounding... well. Definitely a little sad and/or guilty.] Maybe not, but... no one ever said feelings were logical.

I just wanted to get away. All those years stuck in the same old routine... I just wanted something new.

I didn't think there'd be a catch.

[But then, it's never that easy, is it?

And now Terra probably thinks he's some kind of idiot.]

Hmm.

[That is... a really good question, actually.]

Well, right now I'm in Libra, but I'm up to meeting just about anywhere.

There's always a catch, Riku.

[He doesn't think you're an idiot-- you're just. Fifteen. And untrained at all. Everyone is stupid at fifteen. Stupid and impulsive.]

[Because, really, he's drawing a blank here. Even now, he's having trouble believing he screwed up so badly.]

[Wouldn't he? At the time he had been so obsessed with finding a way off the islands... would he have left the Keyhole alone at the knowledge of just what consequences prying it open would have?

He doesn't know anymore. He'd like to think so. He hopes he would have.

He knows he would never even consider it now.

That... just has to be enough. Somehow.

There is no way to go back and see how things would have gone otherwise anyways.]

...True enough.

[He rolls his eyes and just barely keeps from snapping back - it won't do either of them any good... and just earn him more disapproving frowns from Kairi.]

[Yes. It wouldn't go well. At all.]

...You see why I'm concerned?

[He used to be really, really prideful at that age... and had reacted rather badly to that pride getting crushed. Accepting Darknes powers from Maleficent and/or Xehanort's Heartless kind of badly.]

Well, maybe start by taking his suggestions to heart a little more? He has years worth of memories of things you haven't experienced yet, and I'm sure he just wants to make life a little easier for you than it was for him in the end.

The keyword is patience. And realizing that he doesn't know the same things you know, and hasn't experienced all of the things you've experienced. He has a lot to learn... and if you're patient enough, you can help him grow without all the pain you had to go through.

My head knows this all.

[A sigh.]

I guess, I'll have to take a step back. Stop letting my buttons being pushed and all.

Maybe it might also do you good if you plan out what you want to tell him?

[He hums in agreement.]

That sounds like a good idea.

[Then again, it's a Kairi!idea, so it's pretty much automatically sound.]

[Smile! Even if you can't see it it's always there.]

The good thing about this is that no one knows yourself better than you do! Use that to your advantage when working with him.
