Of course they will be looked down upon. Hate leads to destruction and violence. This is not something humans like to be reminded of, even if they all feel hate. I'm probably not gonna make friends by saying this. Instead of understanding their hatred and its roots, they prefer to bury it as deep as they can and never look at it. It only leads to it exploding in disgusting ways.
