[Yes, it's late at night/early in the morning. Link's up anyway.]

i have a question.

what does it mean to you to be a hero?

i guess a hero would only be one if he or she did something heroic
so the question would be what is a heroic thing
maybe defeating someone evil
that seems to be a simple way to be considered a hero
if someone is evil and they are stopped then that is basically heroic by default
although being evil is a bit subjective so i guess that makes being heroic subjective too
maybe doing something that needs to be done but everyone else is incapable or unwilling to do is heroic

so i guess a hero is someone who does something heroic because you cant be a hero without doing something
probably

If that's all they know about you, that's all they'll see. But the more you get to know people, the more they see you for who you are.

What would you define as "feeling heroic"?

As this posting has proven, the definitions of such things vary from person to person.

Of course. It's normal to be scared. The important part is what you do next.

I'm not seeing the problem, then.

what does okay mean?

but none of that will stop anyone from looking up to them and being glad they do what they do to be thought of as a hero

i know a lot of the guards back home must be afraid every time they go out

what if they get killed? a lot of them do eventually

but they still go out and they still keep the citadel safe from the other clans the best they can

its their job but its only their job because they took it

even though they knew the risks it holds

I believe that true heroes are, at their hearts, very simple.

But I also believe that true heroes are very hard to find. I have only ever met one such man in my life.

I suppose that depends. What made a hero in The World was someone who created a new age.

A lot of things get lost in being retold so much. Especially things that aren't as pretty.

Croix was kind. Loyal to his ideals and, more importantly, to the people he served as a knight. He did not allow politics to stop him from doing what he felt was right.

He was also an excellent listener.

Not everything becomes corrupted. Heroes are not dreams - they are real people you hold in high regard. They're personal ideals, I guess. That doesn't make them mere dreams.
