A little of both. The arcana represent each stage of human life, spiritually. It is the goal of all humans to reach the Judgment arcana - to be able to reflect upon their journey and their choices and be satisfied with what they have done. I suppose in my journey to attain power, I will be doing that as well. However, it is also a very real journey - one I have traveled to many places in order to start.
