[When the video starts, Link's standing outside his building, staring up at the snow. He looks a little worried at it all, and pulls his tunic around himself tighter. He looks over at the COMP, and frowns.]

[His voice is very quiet when he speaks.]

What do you do when you can't sleep? Or when you have nightmares? I'm not sure what to do.

There are plants that can grow easily enough in a place like this, although you might have to wait until spring. There's also plants you can keep indoors that will get plenty of light through the window.

I never knew her... I guess I should be sad about it, and I am, but I didn't know who she was. I didn't even know I had a mother until a little bit ago.

I didn't even know that people had mothers. I mean, I know animals have parents, but none of the Kokiri did. Some of them say that the Great Deku Tree made them... I didn't really think about it.

[Um... how to explain this...]

He's a very bad man. He took over Hyrule for seven years, and people were suffering all the time because of him. He released monsters all over the place, and he wanted to use the Triforce to rule forever.

So you honestly thought this Great Deku Tree thing made you too?

[More information, huh. Sam is trying to piece all this together as best he can, but even so, there are blank spots he needs to fill.]

I see. And I'm really sorry for all these questions, but is the Triforce some weapon of some sort?

Yeah. I mean, no one told me he didn't, so I just assumed he did.

[He smiles a little gently.]

It's okay. I don't mind. But the Triforce is something that the three goddesses who made Hyrule left behind. There's a piece representing each of them - Din, goddess of Power; Nayru, goddess of Wisdom; and Farore, goddess of Courage. Whoever touches it will have their wish granted - but only if they're powerful, brave, and wise. If they're not, it'll only sort of work, and they have to gather the two pieces that didn't stay with them to try again.

It's the nature of most cities. It takes a lot of pre-planning to get this many people in one place and still have room for greenery, and a lot of cities just kind of happen.

Not really. I just want my friends to be safe. I didn't really want anything growing up, just friends... and now I just want to not have to fight anymore.

I see. That's one kind of place I've actually never lived. What was it like, if you don't mind me asking?

It was really peaceful, a lot of the time. I miss it. The first time I went to the castle, it was really confusing.

There weren't that many of us in the forest. There were the Skull Kids, but... they didn't really talk to us very much.

I grew up in a kind of temple. There weren't a whole lot of people around besides the students and teachers there, either. Some farmers and a lot of Kath Hounds, mostly.

I've never seen students in a temple... they're usually full of traps and monsters. What's a Kath Hound?

That would be when people aren't using them anymore. And Kath Hounds are basically big dogs that live in the plains or caves. Some of them have horns.

[She thinks of Axel and Lea, and she smiles a little wryly]

I think I know exactly what you're talking about, so far as... you and your brother go.

[And then she's quiet herself as she listens, and thinks]

Yeah... That sounds like something you'd have nightmares over. I've seen some monsters myself, or at least bad enough to be like them.

[After all, a monstrous appearance didn't exactly make a bad person, as people like Beast, or Mike and Sulley had showed.]

It's really scary, and you hate thinking about them. It's hard to make them go away, even if they aren't there....
