[ The feed clicks on, showing one Integra Hellsing sitting in what... would appear to be her apartment. She doesn't seem to be quite as roughed up as she had been when she first arrived; granted, she's bruised and scraped up, but she looks overall better.

She's sipping at a small cup of tea; it certainly isn't what Walter, her poor, dear lost Walter would have made, but this is something she'll have to get used to regardless. ]

I suppose it's about time that I get around to introducing myself. My name is Sir Integra Hellsing. I come from England, and before anyone questions the 'Sir', I am a knight under Her Majesty the Queen. Like I have heard a few others state, I, too, am a hunter of monsters.

[ She lights up a cigar, her neutral mask never slipping. This is her last one... she's going to have to go out and find something similar, much to her horror. ]

I'm not going to ask if anyone from my own home world has arrived. I believe I already know the answer to that. Instead, I want to offer something. Protection, you could say, from things that go bump in the night... if I am to be stuck here for however long, then it is my duty to offer as much protection to all of you as I possibly can give. If the time or need arises, don't hesitate to contact me.

I can certainly believe that. And I know it was strange my first time too, but, hey, after three, it's a little normal.

Hopefully things'll get a little easier with time.

Ah, that would be a lovely idea... except I don't play well with others. Is there a military, by any chance, that you know of?

I'm fine; I'm used to holding my own.

[He paused a moment, tilting his head curiously.]

...would you like assistance in handing out that protection?

Yeah. Sometimes I wish I could go home. But...I'm an adventurer, I live for seeing new things.

Well, that's a good thing then, I suppose.

[ And a fortunate one. Integra is simply used to having back up... and being able to give orders. This whole being alone thing is something new, something she's not sure she really appreciates.

A thin brow arches. It's obvious she hadn't been expecting him to offer. ]

That would be nice, yes, if you are willing... help is always good to have.

I see. Well, that must somewhat be a nice thing for you then, correct? To be able to see not one but three new worlds?

I don't mind. I can't imagine just working a retail job while being here.

[Because seriously, after everything he went through, just saying, "Do you want fries with that?" for a living seemed really lame.]

No, I can tell... you don't seem the type of person to enjoy such a job.

[ That's definitely something she can relate to, and something that she absolutely REFUSES to ever. Ever. Do. Her title may mean nothing here, but she was born into nobility and like hell she was going to just let that go even in this place. ]

At home, I had an organization. It was dedicated to protecting Church, Country, and Crown from the forces of darkness. The title given to me was not earned, but rather given to me simply because of my bloodline. I had money to fund such things, and more than one ace up my sleeve... and yet here, I've got nothing of the sort. I've no idea how I'm going to do this, really.

Sounds rough, but I can sort of understand. I didn't exactly volunteer for what I had to do on my world.

[He paused, an almost smile coming to his face.]

I don't know what kind of help you had before, but I'll do my best.

The kind of help I had... you wouldn't believe it even if I tried to explain.

[ She chuckles, smiling slightly at the poor young man. ]

[Soma actually smiled at that.]

You'd be surprised what I believe.

[ She tilts her head, offering a small smile of her own. That's right... she's talking to someone who can turn into a big bat. ]

Oh? Even if I mentioned vampires?

[That drew a faint sigh out of Soma. Of course… in the end, there's always vampires.]

I'm more familiar with them than I think even you'll believe.

[ She hums thoughtfully, calmly taking a sip of her tea. ]

How interesting. Do you believe in the myth of Dracula?

[Soma's response is so quick it could make heads spin.]

It's not a myth.

[ THAT has definitely piqued her interest, not that she hadn't been interested before. ]

I know it isn't. That's why I brought it up... although I must admit, I wasn't expecting that sort of a reaction, Mr. Cruz.

[Soma let out a faint noise, clamming up pretty quickly. Stupid… he couldn't exactly just say it…]

Like I said, I'm more familiar with vampires than you'd believe.

[ She shrugs. Unfortunately, Soma, she won't be forgetting this information any time soon. ]

Something tells me that your Dracula and mine are very, very different.

Most likely, yes.

I've got a vampiric servant.

[ She's not going to say that said servant is Dracula, of course. Not yet. ]

...And his fledgling also works for me.

[Hard to picture a vampire being subservient to a human…]

I guess you wouldn't be that surprise.

Yes, really. My grandfather captured him over one hundred years ago, and he was enslaved to my bloodline.

[ She sighs, tucking a strand of her hair behind her ear. ]

My grandfather was Professor Abraham van Helsing. [ Would Soma make the connection himself? Perhaps his world was more different than she's assuming. Perhaps there was no Dracula novel there. ]
