It's not something you'd wish on anyone, really. Sometimes parts of people live on in other people. I've seen it happen, it's really disturbing.

But basically your parents or legal guardians terminate your right to exist and send you to a harvest camp for all of your organs and other body parts to be taken out and given to other people.

A word of advice: never assume that you have already gone through hell and that no one could possibly be through worse. The odds are enormous that you are wrong - and fairly good that you will end up passing through worse shortly after thinking so.
