[The feed flickers on and Lea fiddles with it a moment, turning the screen sideways briefly before making a face and righting it. Crazy newfangled technology. He's not wearing the watch, rather has it set on the table in his apartment like it's a tiny tiny computer. After making sure the little screen will stay upright by itself, Lea frowns at it a moment before scratching his head.]

So they tell me this watch thingy posts live to a network everybody in the city can see. Wow, that's pretty impressive--not just in technology but in trust! [He leans forward a bit, folding his arms on the back of the chair he's sitting backwards in and plunking his chin down on them.] I mean, I could say anything, and I wouldn't even be censored? [A low, appraising whistle.]

I mean, not that I'd ever do anything like that. [Grin~]

So where can a guy find the best ice cream in town? I've had a long day you guys wouldn't believe.

[Nothing like being dead and then waking up and finding out you got your heart back and wrangling with the idea of having real emotions again and debating whether or not you should track down your old friends who think you're dead and then getting pelted by children falling out of trees to wear you out. Yup. But he's not gonna go into details.

[A beat of silence and then he glances around as if making sure no one's watching before he cups a hand beside his mouth and says in a stage whisper,] Xemnas is an insufferable ass. And his briefings were boring as hell. [Just checking on that censorship thing. Yup. Nothing to see here.]

I guess sayin' I helped save the world would be kind of a cool thing to put on a resumé, but it does seem a bit much to swallow all at once.

So do these Persona things come with an instruction manual? Pretty sure I've never even heard of one before, even in all the traveling I've done, so I'm kind of at a loss here.

[Lea laughs softly at Roxas' accusation.] Well, I guess maybe I'm a little too tall, but I can't change that any more than you can.

[And that's when he realizes they're still just standing in the doorway.] Er... well, come in, I guess. Uh. [He steps aside and ushers them through the door, closing it behind them and then gesturing vaguely.] Welcome to my humble abode, which is theoretically completely identical to your humble abodes. I guess since there's no couch we can sit on the bed or somethin'.

[Pushing into the bedroom he waits for the kids to sit on the edge of the bed, then sits on the floor in front of them with his legs folded and his hands over his ankles. He gives Roxas a puzzled look.]

So really, the last thing you remember from home is hearing about somebody kicking it in C.O.? That's just... kind of insane.

[Xion allows herself to be shuffled inside, grinning a little at the couch comment and wondering how soon that would be changed. She remembers your preferred sleeping location bff... not to mention they'd need at least one more place to sleep if they were planning on all trying to fit in one room...

Which would be difficult. Her and Roxas - or her and Aqua - fitting in with one room had been challenging enough at times.]

I'd say we should get one but I'm not sure how to get a couch...

[She may have more experience in the world but even that knowledge has its limits. Sitting on the edge of the bed, her gaze darts from Roxas to Axel and back. It was really strange to think about, Roxas being from so far back. She'd only just started thinking consciously for herself, really.]

Hm. I don't know if there's an instruction manual somewhere, but I can tell you the basics for now.

[ He pauses in case Lea wants to interrupt and say 'nope' but if that doesn't happen, he continues on. ]

A Persona is a part of your mind or soul that manifests to protect you when you are in danger. You can learn to call it forth at any time and use its powers. Or you can call it forth using a device called an Evoker.

[Flopping down on the bed next to Xion, he's quiet, listening to the two comment about the need for a couch (he agrees, really) before attention falls back to him again.]

[Well that's... something. Enough to make him shift a little, not meeting either of their gazes for a moment.]

Not that insane. [He couldn't remember things that hadn't happened, after all. Frowning, he looks to Xion, as the original source of his thoughts and realizations. It'd be nice to say he's astute, but technically it's taken him three days to get this much] But that's not what you remember, right?

[By the sounds of it, it wasn't what Axel remembered, either. Which would explain why they seemed so intent on telling him he was short...]

[Lea scratches his head.]

Well, I'm sure there's a furniture shop somewhere in town, but... a.) I don't have any munny that I think will work here, and I'm pretty sure grand-theft-couch is frowned upon in most civilized societies, and b.) I'm not sure it'd fit in here anyhow.

[He looks at Roxas then and sort of sighs hopelessly.]

Nah, I remember it just fine, I just remember it a long time ago. Like a couple years ago long time ago. [He leans back on his hands then, staring up at the ceiling a moment before giving Roxas a serious look.] It's... not a huge deal, in the end. I mean, I'm not sure why we all seem to remember--or not remember--different things from different times, but... [He smiles a bit then, shaking his head.] It doesn't really matter, so long as we're all here, right?

[Some things were better left forgotten, he figures. If Roxas never had to know about the fights they'd had, never had to go through the exasperation of not understanding who he was, never had to deal with defecting from the Organization and becoming a fugitive, then all the better, so far as Lea thinks. This is like a second change to get this right, and he's not about to look a gift moogle in the mouth.

[Turning his attention to Xion then, he tilts his head.]

So how long have you been here, anyway? [And back to Roxas.] It's a little ironic that you guys were the ones to arrive first--I'm supposed to be the one showing you guys the ropes!

Mm. I know how that is.

[Especially since Terra was here and, oh man... there is a lot to talk about.

Aqua nods faintly. That sounded about right, but at the same time there were still a lot of things about the time on the other side of the divide that she didn't know about. She really only knew what would happen in--well, four years for her.]

Well, I probably would have... but the "dream you" there didn't seem to be that much of a jerk. You had Roxas and Xion with you there for a while, too.

[It's A Long Story and surprise! Real time does not seem to effect dreams. ~~Though it's kind of weird because it was normally Terra who had those kinds of visions and not very often, either...~~]

Promenade was confusing; I'll give it that...

Yeah, Munny won't work here. I got a job though, so I could... see if I could pay for it.

[She's not sure if she has enough, because... more than anything, she's never been furniture shopping before. How much did furniture cost anyway?]

Fitting it in here would still be a problem, though.

[To Roxas' question, and Axel's reply, she nods]

Yeah... I remember about the same he does... though maybe a little less.

[Still, though, Axel's right. There are some things... some that might be awkward, with Roxas knowing so little, not having experienced certain very important things. But he was there, he remembered her, he was still him. That was the most important part.]

I've been here for about a month, now. Roxas hasn't been here that long.

[It's still the longest she's ever been away from them since before they deserted, as Axel'll probably recall]

[He shrugs lightly, lips pressing together after a moment. He isn't all that sure about it himself just yet either.]

At very least, given that time isn't the only factor around here.

[And if choice really plays into things, then it might be an infinite amount of options even. So yeah. Take your pick, Lea?]

The order of events I remember, seems to be rather different from the one Xion does, for example.

[Lea taps his chin.] Hm, well I guess if Roxas and Xion were there maybe they'd already begun my Anti-Jerk Training regimen.

[He's still not really sure what it all means... dream worlds, temporal paradoxes, alternate realities, good grief it's making his head hurt a little. But it's easier to just roll with it than flip out, and he's always been a fan of the path of least resistance.

[He rubs the back of his neck awkwardly then.]

Well, I guess so long as we're sharing stories, then... technically it's Lea now, not Axel. [He's not sure how well Aqua knows him... er... "him"? But even if she already knows him well from that world of dreams, she still called him Axel, and that's not accurate anymore. It wouldn't do to build an alliance on a false foundation, after all.]

[He just nods as Minato offers to give him a rundown. His brow furrows a little at the explanation--yeah, it sounds a bit familiar, in more ways than one. On one hand, he's pretty sure the guy in the mask said something similar, even if he can't for the life of him quite recall the exact words. More than that, though, his chakrams were of a similar concept. He was still fuzzy on the details of how losing his heart and becoming a Nobody had granted him the power to summon weaponry from Hammerspace, but he supposed those details weren't so important. The relevant part was that they were, in a way, an extension of his soul. Hell, one of the modification gears actually made the chakrams manifest in a manner that was supposed to be a direct representation of his personality (did this mean he was a ninja at 'heart'?), so this wasn't as shocking to him as it might have been to someone whose life hadn't taken such a turn.

[Tilting his head a bit, he taps his chin with one finger.]

So this Persona thing... is alive? [That part was new.] Like, okay, it's a part of my soul, I can handle that, but... it's actually like a sentient self-aware thing that has my back in a fight?

[He could get behind that.]

[ He thinks about that for a moment because he's honestly not completely sure on that point and then shakes his head a bit. ]

Not exactly... Personas aren't really independent of you. Even if you're not consciously directing them, they're still acting based on your subconscious will, I think. That can make them seem like they're sentient, but I don't... I don't think they're truly independent of you.

If you're knocked out, for example, your Persona will disappear back into your head.

Well considering you know my real name I'm inclined to believe you there. So far as I was aware nobody even knew I wasn't dead anymore.

[He rubs his chin.]

I feel like maybe we should compare notes. Are you free for a pow-wow? I'm still not really sure what's going on, but it serves to reason that being on the same page with your allies would be a good thing.

[Well, that's another small wince.] ... thanks.

[For not making him elaborate. He wasn't kidding when he said it was Complicated.

He blinks, and looks slightly confused.] The king? ... You mean Mickey? He knows what happened to us?

[He almost sounds hopeful about that--that he and his friends aren't forgotten, that someone is actively searching for a way to fix what they couldn't, and find them in the process. Find Aqua, and restore him and Ven to how they were before Xehanort tore everything apart.]

For what it's worth, your return was quite a bit of a surprise back home.

[Certainly a welcome one though. If Lea hadn't shown up when he had...

Yeah, he's definitely not going to linger on that one.]

Sounds like a plan. Where are you now?

[He laughs helplessly.] I'd imagine that someone coming back from the dead would never not be a surprise, really.

Right now? I'm in, ah... Pisces. 8-06. I'd say I can meet you somewhere if you prefer but it's probably faster for you to come here, since I actually have no idea where anything but this building is at the moment.

[Lea makes a bit of a face. This is starting to sound like an imaginary friend or something.]

Huh, you don't say. Sounds pretty interesting, actually; do I have to do something special to figure out how mine works?

[It's not the first time he's 'died' and woken up with an unexpected new ability. Might as well figure out how to use it to his advantage.]

[The wince doesn't go unnoticed--yeah, he knows that feel, bro. It's all good. He nods then.]

Mmhm, that's the one. [He grins.] Wow, on a first-name-basis, huh? [He's teasing, but nods again.] Yeah, he told me and my friends about you and Aqua and Ven. I actually met Ven once, a long time ago. Man, everybody I know is like way better at napping than I am--I'm lucky if I can sleep four hours, and they all manage for days, weeks, years at a time. [He clicks his tongue--it's teasing again, there's no malice in the words, but they're a bit heavy all the same.]

Like I said, the king didn't have all the details, but he knew Aqua was trapped in the Realm of Darkness, so... when we went looking for her, we figured we'd see if you weren't there with her. No dice, unfortunately, but it seems like you figured it out, so I guess no harm no foul.

[~~If there were any more possible irony in that statement...]~~

[He nods.]

Got it; it's not far from where I am. I'll be there in a moment.

[ But these imaginary friends let you set things on fire! And stuff. ]

Mm, well they naturally awaken in response to a need to protect yourself, but you can also use something called an Evoker to force it out. Once you have the feel for summoning it, it's not hard.

Right, right, you mentioned the Evoker. I'll be frank: I'd rather learn how this works before I find myself in a life or death situation. So where does one get an Evoker?

Hm. I'm not entirely sure, actually. I have mine from the world I come from, which I can let you use for the first time, but as for acquiring one permanently, you could talk to a man called Q or this... large robot named Brainstorm. Evokers are used here primarily in arena battles between persona users, I believe, but they should have others available...
