Fire represents many things in many cultures. Passion or energy is an obvious one, but many cultures also attribute it to knowledge or intelligence, as fire is one of the first things sapient tool-users create. Likewise, people who live on volcanic planets or who use fire in agriculture often associate it with death and rebirth.

Even as a Jedi, that seems a little above my pay grade, philosophically. A fire destroys and creates anew, though, which is a little bit like what you just described.
