Hello?

Sorry if I'm bothering anybody. My name is Hasegawa Saori, and I just arrived in Hinoto-Ri.

They told me what happened, and what we're meant to do, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I tried contacting my dormmates, and even my family, but they haven't answered. I've even talked to some of the locals, but they just confirmed my worst fears. [There's a long pause before she can even write again. How could this have happened?]

Anyway, I decided I needed to get as many contacts as possible. How many of you are from before the Crisis? Apparently the latest recorded year before it is 2012, and I'm from 2010 for reference.

Again, sorry if I'm bothering anybody. I just needed to talk to someone...about all this. If you read through my post, thank you for listening.

Yeah. We seem to be in a totally different world entirely. And what's this Crisis? I'm from way beyond AD 2012, and I don't know about anything huge that happened in AD 2010.

I'm Ruri, Hoshino Ruri. I was born in 2185 but there was no crisis so I think this may be a different reality. Perhaps you are from one of those too? One where it is still 2010 and you can't contact your family because they aren't here.

[Well there was that huge Nyx cult that predicted the world would end in February. But nothing came of it. Also wow now she's more confused.]

Could you tell me what year you're from?

About 500 years after the 21st century AD. We started a new era almost 150 years ago and reset the calendar for it, so giving the exact year won't do any good.

Actually, it was 2017 where I'm from... what "Crisis" do you mean exactly, the Second Network Crisis?

[After all, that happened in 2010.]

Oops. Sorry. About 150 years ago, the world got caught up in a series of wars. They were ended by the Silver Chalice Treaty. They marked its signing by beginning the "Advanced Generation" era. That began 142 years ago.

Hrm. How much do you understand about quantum physics? Or would you like me to just sum it up. I'm not entirely certain how far along people are with scientific training.

But the other people's comments have confirmed, if these people aren't trolls they at least came from different points of time.]

I see. That's rather unfortunate. The world was still at peace back home. Or at least Japan was.

I'm from 2010. The only 'Crisis' I can think of was the apocalypse, it was happening when I left.

Unfortunately, I'm not too good with regular physics. I still need to take notes.

[Confused as she is though, at least all of this is distracting her from her earlier panic.]

I think being confused when you end up here is the only constant. I am willing to wager that your friends and family are fine though, just separated by some random singularity probably brought on by either science that I don't understand, or according to everyone else here magic.

I'm still trying to find proper testing tools to cause the demystification this whole ordeal.

I do not think you are bothering anyone. I think everyone is at least a little confused when they come to this world. It is important to remember that despite any similarities, this world is not the world you were in before you woke up here.

Some of the natives said a catastrophe happened that wrecked the world, though no one remembers what happened exactly. Just that there was a bright flash and then they lost contact with the outside world. [She certainly doesn't remember it. Which is why all of this is hard to sink in.

But she'll get through it. Saori isn't weak like before. Minako taught her that.]

I don't think it had anything to do with the Network Crisis you mentioned. What happened that time?

Oh...I'm so sorry.

[Upon reading that, Saori is immediately relieved. It's still not good, mind. Her friends and family could be looking for her right now...well, maybe not her parents but that's a bitter point we won't get into. But at the very least, no one she knows is dead.]

[ Wait what... She knows Minako? Maybe he has heard her name then... He hopes Minako will see this message soon then. ]

She is my sister. Did you attend Gekkoukan, too?

[Screw text, this is too important for text. Minako had never expected someone from Gekkoukan who wasn't in SEES to come here, but that just made it even more important to get in contact. She sounds so confused...]

Saori-chan! Don't worry, everyone back home is all right. It's a little strange, but this is a different world.

[It's only after she says all of that she remembers that... Saori might not remember her. Whoops.]

Yes. We were in the Health Committee together.

Your names are so similar...are you twins?

[The switch to voice throws her off, but she instantly recognizes who it is!]

Minako-chan? You're here too?

I've been here for a month already, actually! But it's really good to see you again, Saori-chan. It's been a while.

I see.

[ He is guessing that Saori was either a first or third year since she is not questioning the relationship. ]

Yes, we are. Actually, she is in this world too. I am sure she'll send you a message as soon as she is free.

Yes. It's been a long while.

[And now, for once since she first arrived here, Saori smiles naturally. For all of how crazy things are, she is just so glad to hear from Minako again.]

Wow. That's really cute! It's a real pleasure to meet you, Minato-san. [oops did she come off as too eager?]
