When the feed snaps on, there's nobody in the frame - just a massive gun. The feed stays trained on it for at least half a minute before it's moved around to stare Desco in the face.

"Listen up, all you humans! Desco and Miss Nano beat up a big red guy the other night, and Desco stole his gun!"

At this, Desco glances away from the video feed towards the direction of the gun and licks her lips.

"Desco doesn't know what it's made of, but it's the most delicious metal she's ever tasted. So the Final Boss is officially putting out a bounty on ALL of the red guys! If you bring Desco their guns, she will personally see to it that someone you don't like will cease to exist!"

A slight pause as she considers her offer.

"Desco reserves the right to refuse if her target has already brought her a gun. And also if Desco likes the target Desco will probably just kill you instead."

She gives the camera a bright smile, showing off her shark-like teeth.

"Now, if you've got all that, heed the words of the Final Boss and go beat up those red guys!"

Addendum:

The feed suddenly snaps back, revealing Desco once again.

"All Desco wants is the guns. If you can get one without beating up the red guys, feel free to do that instead. Bye bye!"

He attacked us first, without even saying anything! If your friends go around at night trying to kill little girls for no reason, then you need to make some new friends. Or at least give them a talking to as well. I'm sorry for what Desco did, and I'm going to make her apologize, but you're behaving just like a child yourself, Garviel-san. More violence will not solve anyone's problems!

Yes! That's what I've been trying to tell you the entire time! He appeared out of nowhere, just like the other demons and monsters that roam the city at night. He didn't even say a word - all he did was walk toward us with some terrible chainsaw sword, and then he attacked Desco with it.

Well, attacking a demon isn't unusual for a blood Angel after the Cygnus prime incident. But you're saying he attacked you as well?

[ He shifts his weight, a ceramite encased hand coming up to his chin, clearly puzzled by this turn in the conversation ]

Our Dual Persona came out and she defeated him with it before he could attack me too, but it didn't look like he was trying to keep me safe either. He didn't tell me to get out of the way or anything. If I'd been standing closer, he might have attacked me first.

[Nano closes her eyes, wincing hard and shaking her head.]

I don't know for sure... I can't know for sure. But he didn't seem anything like you, Cerberus-san. There was no kindness at all behind that helmet, and it didn't feel like he was trying to protect or save anyone. I was really scared. For me, and for Desco.

His expression slides into a smirk. "I know a thing or two about places burning because of lost people. Maybe not whole planets, but enough. If you touch her, I swear on my contract that I will hunt you down and not stop until you're in pieces."

[This will actually take Nano the better part of the rest of the day, as she's going to have to manually sort through her own memories the way she did with Atsuro before. And she's no super hacker, so it'll take her much more time to narrow it down to the correct memory, which she then has to convert to a video format.

Eventually, however, she'll send over this incident. Her description of what happened matches the real event, including both the chaos marine attacking first and Desco's original motivation being to simply eat the gun as a snack.

Something is definitely wrong. That isn't blood angel iconography at all. They don't wear their armor like that. The only place I've seen writing of that kind is on the Word Bearers.

This... doesn't make sense.

Legions of the imperium. The Blood Angels were loyal. The WOrd Bearers were... not.

I will concede the possibility. But that raises the question of why he didn't attempt to use desco to kill you.
