"So this is something modern societies have, by and large, figured out. So in most places, there's a generally accepted age where you're considered to be old enough to make your own choices vis-a-vis reproduction. Still with me?"

Instead of waiting for a response, she continues speaking.

"Okay good. So there's one: the actual age where your body wants to start with the reproduction, and two: the age where society says you can start with reproduction. These do not generally match up."

She spreads her arms wide at this.

"So you end up with cases like me: normal teenagers, their bodies a bubbling chemical cauldron of all sorts of hormones, and in no particular position to do anything about it. Thus endeth the lesson!"
