[The video feed turns on, and Naminé appears, standing in front of the stark white walls of the hospital. While she appears very calm, her eyes keep glancing sideways back to where the subject of her post is undoubtedly resting.]

Hi everyone. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Naminé, Kairi's sister. I'm posting this message for a few reasons. The first is to apologize on her behalf to the people she kidnapped and temporarily imprisoned last Friday. She was under the effects of the city event, and didn't mean any harm. [A wry smile.] If anything it was a sign that she cares very deeply for you.

[The smile fades a little.] The second thing I need to tell you is that some things happened at the end of the day that caused her to fall unconscious. Normally this wouldn't be anything to worry about, and it wasn't, at first. But she lapsed into a coma over the weekend, and I'm not sure when she'll be waking up.

[A pause. She seems to wrestle with herself before she finally gives an edited version of what she really wants to say.]

Normally we don't bring up the place we were at before we came to Hinoto-Ri, but since it has to do with the coma, it's relevant, and it'll give you a better understanding of the situation she's in right now.

The place we were in before was called the Facility, and long story short, the Facility had a terrible effect on us physically, mentally, and emotionally. The coma is one of the physical side effects, a part of a sickness all Facility members contracted. Most people who fell into the coma eventually woke up, but it can take weeks, and...that's why that she won't be around for a while.

I'll let everyone know as soon as she's awake again. In the meantime, please don't worry too much. She wouldn't want you to worry. That, and everyone has visiting rights. [A rueful laugh.] She's probably already tired of me talking to her all day anyways.

...and I'll be here too, if you have questions.

[She nods to the camera and then turns away, the feed ending with a click.]

Yep, that's me! [He wasn't entirely sure how much he believed that people in comas could hear people on the outside, but... eh, it's not like it would hurt.]

Alright, you got it! I'm sure I could at least watch her for a bit if you ever get tired.

[Wait was he repeating himself? Hrrrm--] But uh, yeah! Just let me know! And I'll see ya there.

[Somehow, in escaping that place, he'd hoped that they had escaped that, too... but it's all a part of their genetic makeup, in the end.]

[She nods in agreement.] Tea is much better.

Mmm...those sound good too. [She leans over to snag a napkin.] Go ahead and sit next to Kairi for a while. I'll move to the window seat.

[And she does just that, curling up on the seat with her soup. She starts eating voraciously, realizing just how hungry she'd been now that she actually is eating.]

[She smiles a little privately to herself before rubbing at her eyes. A nap sounds very nice, actually.]

[When he does visit, she's dozing in her seat, a sketchbook on her lap and a pencil held slack in her hand. Kairi's still the same as ever, of course, but small doodles have been taped to the wall, bed, and nightstand-- different images of the things Kairi has done since she's arrived at Hinoto-Ri.]

[When Nano drops by, Naminé already has a vase ready for the flowers, sitting on the nightstand just waiting for something to help brighten up the room. She yawns and offers her friend a smile.]

Thank you for picking them up. I didn't want to leave her.

It's all right. I understand.

[Nano heads over to carefully place the flowers in the vase, spending a few moments fussing over them and arranging them to look nice.]

[She makes a small noise of amused exasperation.]

Right. The day he electrocuted himself into unconsciousness. The collars are just that-- something that kept us obedient to our captors at the Facility. The sickness is separate from that.

[A pause.]

I'm sorry, I don't think I recognize your voice. Are you a friend of Joshua's?

We have IV drips set up. We won't let anything happen to her if we can't help it.

[Naminé makes a sound of affirmation before blinking.]

...huh?

Yes.

[There are so many variables-- they're in a different place, no pods, no help from their Facility med team. All the odds are stacked against them.]

Most people were in comas for up to a month back at Facility...so it's going to be a long wait.

[Naminé turns to look at them, almost as if she were trying to soak in their bright colors.]

Thank you.

[She stretches a little.]

What have you been up to lately? I haven't heard from you since we were all stuck in Kairi's dungeon.

I've just been enjoying the Golden Week break from school and trying to get caught up on my homework.

[She smiles, but there's a bit of concern in her voice too.]

How long have you been sitting with Kairi...? You look tired.

[He didn't waste any time, of course; the soonest he got the chance, he'd been down at the hospital, and when he had free time, he'd asked the reception where Kairi was roomed, and made his way straight over, cautiously taking a step into the room when he noticed that Naminé was asleep.

~~He's considerate enough to offer visiting, but he completely didn't think to actually bring any present with him or anything, go figure.~~]

Uh... hey... Naminé?

[Should he just let her nap or--]

Yeah. Or juice. [He'd choose that over coffee or tea.]

Okay. [Grabbing the other soup and bottle of juice out of one of his giant pockets, Sora moves to sit in the now vacated chair.]

So what did you tell the doctors?

[Exactly what he's thinking. They could deal with this better back at the station. But here, without all that help...]

... I waited a month for Shiki once. [A pause.] She'll... be okay. We'll figure something out.

I was merely curious how they operated. They do seem like a nuisance. [Adding more complications on top of the collars seems cruel - not that their new home cares about being one way or another.] My name is Ciel Phantomhive. I am an Earl from Victorian England. Currently, however, I am working my way through the candy industry in the city.

IV...? { She frowns faintly. } Can I visit her? Or...you?

[She straightens at the question.]

I told them the same I told everyone else. I didn't want to tell them anything more without talking with you or Kairi or the others. And they didn't pry, but they did offer to help us try and figure out how to remove the collars.

[She jolts out of her nap, looking with wide eyes up at him.]

Oh, Daichi! Hello. I'm sorry, I didn't realize I'd fallen asleep.

That sounds nice. [Naminé takes that moment to yawn.] The whole weekend, really. The rest of my family and I, we tried to do shifts, but it didn't really work out since all of us wanted to sit with her at the same time.

She's lucky to have such caring friends.

They are. With any luck the scientists here can help us get them off.

[She makes a surprised noise. There had been a Ciel back at Facility, it was interesting that, though obviously a different Ciel, he'd come to this place too.]

It's very nice to meet you, Earl.

Oh-- it's a device that helps her get vitamins and everything else she needs to stay healthy while she's asleep. And yes, of course you can. I'd like it very much if you could.

Thank you, Neku. [She inhales and exhales slowly. A distraction, she needs a distraction.] How are you and Shiki, by the way? And Joshua?

You're one of those people too, you know. [She smiles at Nano.] Anyways...it's alright if I lose a little sleep. I'd rather be awake in case something happens to her.
