I assume you have all educated yourselves on what Philemon's intentions and goals are for this city in his latest charade, or you would not be wasting your time humoring that ludicrous and insipid excuse for literature.

Now, what about Nyarlathotep? Have any of you figured out anything about his plans for this city, or are you more concerned with petty child's play?

And that's all we can do... Well, that's all I can do, anyway. I'm only human. Maybe demons have more choices?

Then we either find out the details of his plans and prevent them from happening. Or we can wait until they comes to fruition and derail them.

Outside of investigation, do you have any other suggestions as to how to do so?

I wouldn't say not play, but play only on your own terms, and try to avoid being turned into a pawn when you do.

You could always do nothing.

Waiting would be stupid.
By the time anyone learns of it at the natural point, it'd undoubtedly be too late to sufficiently stop them.
So the only way to not fall into a trap would to be not to play, or to retrace his steps.

Maybe, but I don't think demons are as wont to care about the fate of humanity as the rest of us.

Well it's certainly one solution.
And one with a reasonable amount of success if the short attention span of most of the city is any indication.

It's a good conflict if you're a mystery lover, though I never claimed to be that much myself.
At the least I can say it's interesting for a time.

It would be nice, if that's ever possible. At the least, it's good to know how to slip in and out. Philemon and Nyarlathotep are still playing around us, and sometime we can use their distraction to our advantage. That may be more dangerous here, since there power isn't strictly earthly.

In regards to them? It's difficult to say what will net a result in favour of either, though. Assuming higher beings operate on a similar mental wavelength as mortals do is a bit foolish.

Hmm... It's difficult, thinking of others, let alone humanity. There are a lot of people out there, after all. My decisions never reached that far. Did yours?

I'm not sure where to begin on that. Discovering the root of the problem might get us a step in the right direction though.

A fair point. Though their noneartlhy power... it almost seems as if they're aware of everything that happens in the realm of their own games.
But playing them against each other-- I like that idea. More dangerous, but more effective than a stalemate.

Ordinarily I'd agree; but even though they possess some twisted divine awareness, but the fact that they are humanity itself can still lend them to human error.
They're certainly stubborn enough to be human.

Not on the average day to day-- What time to wake up, what route to take to school.
But when it counted, my plans were for the world.
